Does artefacts evocation have to be bought or you can use them as long as you have the prerequisite and artefact in possession?

You have to buy them but you usually get the first one or so for free. Usually says in the description

I'll add that to the description of my artefacts then (with your permission) ;)

Edit: Reviewing the book with a quick search, I only found that to be true on hearthstone. So now i'm not so sure...
