XOSkel10 says:
Alin shines the everbright lantern into the darkness.
OOC:
Is there an obvious exit or just the continuation of the "box". Do we know what story is being told with the reliefs?
The darkness seems to extend beyond the reach of the everbright lantern as you walk slowly forward.
Those of you with a result higher than 18 (and Ghillie, who can reasonably interpret the results using his background feature) ascertain that this is a historical depiction of the generations of the Giant civilization.
Those of you who speak Giant can recognize some of the letters on the walls, but Ghillie knows that this is very old Giant language, which, at the start of this cavern, is not discernible. As you progress in the cavern, it is as if you are witnessing the transformation of the Giant language over the millenia, as it becomes more readable. You are able to read some names, such as
Cul'sir Dagon,
Cul'sir Fay-shont, and some of the names are scratched out or worn out by time.
You also a circle with relief profiles of 5 different fire giants, each facial profile surrounded by a shape resembling an element: Declant Su'lat (fire), Fallon Su'lat (water), Saren Su'lat (rock), Cortyr Su'lat (air), and Rawtha Su'lat (something whispy, but you cannot figure out what element this is).
You also start to notice the puddles not just into the floor of this cavern, but you see the puddles along the walls now, and along the ceiling.
