The Changing Hunt

As you all walk into the Embers section of the Oldgate district, the flavor of the region is very human, as opposed to other areas where there is evidence of racial diversity.

You see a few men in the streets with heavy armor, with shields and armor carrying motifs of a red flame. They eye you, but do nothing more than keep an eye on you as you walk by.

As the sun starts to brighten the area around you (it's probably around 5 am now), a building that draws your attention, the sign of on the outside indicating that it is called The Candlelight.

You all see two of these heavily-armored guards posted on either side of the large double-doors to this place.

"I could use a drink," Gunnar says, pointing at the The Candlelight.

"With all these Silver Flame folks about, I'm surprised we even found a pub. It is a pub, innit? Looks like the kind of place that charges twice as much for a drink that is thrice watered down. Ah, but maybe I shouldn't judge a pub by its neighborhood. Might be if I were Thranish and had all these zealots running about I might need a drink strong enough to make a Troll go blind!"

A drink sounds good. says Mrak, and he strides towards the guards at the door. Ho there, I'd like to go in and get a drink.

"Perhaps a mushroom beer," Ghillie said as he followed.
Mar 5, 2022 8:21 pm
Don't get your hopes up old man. Mushroom beer is not a common drink. But, sure lets see what they have.

One of these templars of the Silver Flame says, "No drinks here. Just a private Silver Flame party.

Now, run along, dearies, 'afore I get testy."
He grabs the hilt of his longsword strapped to his waist, and the other gives an wicked eye in your direction.

The one who hasn't spoken yet squints his eyes, focuses a bit towards Kevin, and says, "Look, Arf. A shifter! Here, shifter! Why don't you come on in now?"

He pushes the one of the double doors open a bit. "You're welcome into this party."

Mrak steps closer to the templars. You looking to start trouble?
Mar 7, 2022 9:54 pm
The templar who grabbed the hilt of his sword says, "Orc, this is none of your concern. Move along."

The other one steps closer and says, "Oh, we aren't starting any trouble, sir. Perhaps you should join your shifter friend inside. I am sure we can accomodate the both of you."
Mar 7, 2022 11:04 pm
"Let's move along. There are other establishments," Ghillie suggested. "Leave the Purified to their revels."
Mar 7, 2022 11:07 pm
"Afraid you can't handle this party, leshy?"
Mar 7, 2022 11:25 pm
"At my age, son, I'm sure I cannot," Ghillie said with a mocking chuckle. "You boys enjoy yourselves, though, and may you live to get old."
Mar 7, 2022 11:29 pm
Mrak causally rests his hand on the pommel of his sword.

Gunnar catches up after excused himself to take another leak in a back alley (drinking a bucket if anything will do that to you). Stumbling forth and slurring his words, he looks considerably more drunk than before.

"Once you break the seal, the flood gates are open, know what I mean? Hey, what's this walking tin can saying about a party? I am always interested in a party! Tell me, tin can, any shifters inside there with you right now?"

Gunnar steps towards the door and throws it open to let in the light of day.

"Let's see what kind of party a tin can has bwhahaha!
OOC:
Taking a look through the open door to see what I see, looking in particular for any trouble going on inside.

Alin leans toward Kevin and whispers "so these are the particularly racist flamers that want to rid the world of nasty lycanthropes and their shifter cousins, do we want to engage in this revelry or pass it by?"

I know of the silver flame thank you. Sargent Keel was of that persuasion...
But it is a private party and we will not intrude

Kevin turns from the door. Besides I prefer intelligent company.

"Intelligent company, eh? Then perhaps you'll like our friend in there."

Both Silver Flame guys draw their swords.
OOC:
You all can still avoid initiative, but if you're itching for a fight like I am, then roll initiative *lol*.

Quote:
You briefly see someone pinned to the wall by something physical (you cannot tell what from your brief look in), and strange bluish-green ichor drips from their palms. It seems that they are crucified to the wall, with about 5 people cheering with mugs in-hand.
Gunnar laughs at the swords being drawn.

"By the Sovereign Host, you boys are touchy. Thick armour but thin skins, eh? Now put your swords away before you get hurt. What's the story with that person pinned against the wall?"
OOC:
Many of you have expressed that your characters are not interested in stirring up trouble here. Out of character, if you players are wanting to stay out of this I can find a reason to desist.

Kevin opens his bag and lets his battle cat emerge.
I'll always try to live by my grandpa's favourite saying. Never start a fight, but always finish it

The metallic construct walks around Kevins legs and takes a place at his left side.
Tell me again how attacking peaceful civilians is a "defending the innocent? Its seems to me that you are listening to whispers. Listen to the Voice of the Flame; beware the deceiving whispers of the Shadow in the Flame. The quote is taken directly from the church of the Silver Flame mantra.
OOC:
Kevin will not attack unprovoked

"Don't get your swords hard, boys. You won't be having any fun with us," the druid said as he continued walking. "Let us away, friends."

Pinned against the wall? Mrak looks in too. What does he see?
