Archon: A director of the Foundation. There are currently twelve Archons who make up the Foundation's heroarchy. The majority of The Foundation venerate the Archons for their dedication to unite and harbour the expanding multiverse. The twelve current Archons are: Beran, Agate Falsehand, The Umbra, Godsend, Daedalist, Keymaster, Lady Fenestra, The Remarkable, Doc Emerald, The Brobdingnagian (or The Giant), Angekok and The Bicameral Woman.
Archons persist in their heroarchical seat by a democratic-like vote among all Foundation members. If a member steps down or is forcibly removed by outside means (long-term disappearance, death, banishment, etc), a quickvote takes place.
Armscye: The official name of a Foundation group or team's headquarters on their designated world (or in their designed realm). Just as groups adopt their own call signs, nearly all groups assign a nickname to their armscye (The Tower, The Aviary, etc).
Custos and Erewhon: Two artificial intelligences who act as caretakers of The Needle. Both take the role of historical scrivener for the Foundation.
The Foundation: An ever-growing constituency of champions, heroes and Foundling redeemers, including the Archons and recruits. There are currently over one-hundred thousand Foundation members in over twenty-thousand distinct groups. The Foundation is not the only organization in the multiverse dedicated to waging peace but the largest known faction.
Foundling: An orphan world birthed by the multiverse lacking a veteran Foundation status. New Foundlings are discovered daily.
The Gleimous: A known collective adversary across the multiverse. Nonhumanoid, mire-like entities which appropriate humanoid form in order to infiltrate and corrupt The Foundation and other organizations attempting to erect a semblance of order in an expanding multiverse. Possible omniversal origins.
The Needle: The Foundation's headquarters, located in Notime and Nowhen.
