Can you re-roll that last damage please? You did not rolled a d6 and simply wrote "6" in the dice field...
Sep 21, 2022 9:08 pm
OOC:
Absolutely! The hit was a crit, pending a dodge, so I just put in max damage.

Rolls

Hound 4 - Bite Damage - (1d6)

(3) = 3

Sep 21, 2022 9:11 pm
OOC:
Oh yeah, oops, never mind...
The goblins will attempt to dodge those attacks, surprised to see their own hounds turned on them... The first goblin (the one fighting Daglin) manages to avoid the vicious bite, with the other hound missing (lucky goblin! But now it's all out of reactions should Daglin hit later...). The second goblin manages to avoid the first bite, only to be horribly mangled by the second (critical) one! It falls to the ground in a heap, letting out a bloodcurdling death scream...

Tyr is up next!

Tyr winds up a mighty bonk with his slingstaff.

Rolls

Two Handed Mighty Blow: 82% - (1d100)

(100) = 100

Slingstaff damage - (1d8)

(8) = 8

Sep 21, 2022 10:54 pm
Wow, two fumbles in one combat... You'll accidentally hit either Daglin or one of Baelrick's attack dogs...

The dice have spoken, Daglin, you can use a reaction to dodge or parry Tyr's attack (at 8 points of damage, I suggest it...).

Rolls

Hit Daglin (34% chance [1-34]), Dog 1 (33% chance [35-67]), Dog 2 (33% chance [68-100]) - (1d100)

(16) = 16

Sep 22, 2022 5:25 pm
"Damn human, are you crazy?" cries Daglin as he attempts to parry the blow coming from Tyr with his hammer.

Rolls

Parry using hammer (45%) - (1d100)

(51) = 51

Sep 22, 2022 10:20 pm
Well, ouch... this is going to be 8 points of damage to Daglin, minus the 2 AP form his leather armour, so a total of 6 points of damage. Just short of a Major Wound! Either Tyr is a klutz or a very conniving triple agent. :P

Either way, Peli's next!
Sep 23, 2022 3:24 pm
Peli is mostly oblivious to whatever just happened with Daglin and Tyr, but she nevertheless notices their distraction and focuses all her efforts on incapacitating the goblin they are fighting, hopefully before the opponent can turn it around. With Bean running around to flank the goblin, Peli strikes with her scimitar in a mighty - by halfling standards, at least, - blow.

...Or at least she tries to, but only succeeds in spooking the goblin enough to allow her canine companion to bite them.

Okay, yeah, the torture room is starting to look like a clusterfuck now and there's really not any place for Peli to go attack that remaining goblin unless she either climbs on the rack or crouches under it. Bean can easily just walk under it though...

OOC:
Sorry about that; I can't check the map right now due to technical issues, as for some reason my current browser absolutely refuses to load images on the map despite loading the text no problem.
But I guess it tracks with the failed roll, at least? And yeah, Bean would get to the goblin if he can!

OOC:
It's fine. I moved your counters in a place it would make sense...
Well, now it's that lone goblin's turn... things look pretty dire, he's wounded and severely outnumbered, even if there seems to be some in-party infighting...

It will simply drop its spear and surrender... "Me no fight no more."

Thallan and Daglin are up next, any order really (as I suspect Thallan to continue aiming at the already captured goblin). Do you accept the goblin's surrender?
Sep 24, 2022 4:10 am
Baelrick weighs the options presented before him. He was a thinking man, despite all appearances. And so he thinks up a solution. He accepts the goblin's surrender, of course. But he also looks to Thallan and draws a line across his throat. The elf shakes his head, and proceeds to club the goblin in the back of the head. Though it may seem cruel, the acts committed by goblins were far worse. The same rope is brought into the room to tie up the newly surrendered critter, and Baelrick spends some time praising his hounds and feeding them snacks. After all, they had done a good job in the end.

Baelrick has time to get the rope from the dead goblin's body, pet and give his dogs treats, and then make his way to the torture room when the door suddenly opens, and you see three wildings looking at you from the prison room... Both sides are surprised to see the other, and after a small awkward moment of staring, everyone draws their weapons. Combat begins!

First round of combat.

Combat Order (DEX+INT)/2
Baelrick: 16
Tyr: 15
Peli: 14
Goblin: 14
Thallan: 13
Daglin: 12
Wildlings: 12

Combat Map Tyr and Baelrick have a light source each, allowing you to see deeper into the cave and alleviating some darkness penalties (p.31 and p.56)

After moments of awkward silence, eyes locked on eyes, Baelrick once again sweeps up his hands to unleash the hounds! They surge forward, all snapping muzzles and flying spittle, and begin overwhelming the lead Wildling.

Dogs are in the way, you're going to have to find another way... Perhaps shooting a stone instead of a mighty wallop?

OOC:
aimed shot is nearly identical
Sep 24, 2022 9:44 pm
Tyr's stone sails true, hitting the wildling squarely on the temple, making it crumple to the ground in a heap.

Peli is up next!
Sep 25, 2022 12:23 am
Unable to reach the opponents in melee, Peli pulls out her blowgun and tries to shot whichever of them is the closest. Peach seeds are pretty painful when they bonk your head, any halfling will attest! Meanwhile Bean is trying to weave between other dogs to join the fray.
OOC:
Not sure if Bean can reach since he's smaller, but added a roll just in case.
Edit: make it three combat fumbles. Joy!
