Aside form the table not being a of sturdy stone, dwarvish make, Daglin determines that the table collapsed under too much weight.
Nov 25, 2022 2:29 pm
Daglin looks up at the ceiling, and if he finds nothing starts to investigate the north door.
Nov 25, 2022 4:04 pm
Baelrick stands at the broken table for a time. "Could this have broken under Miriht's weight? Perhaps where she was brought to this world, in one way or another?"

Seeing Daglin moving to the north door, Baelrick instead moves to the south. By his mental map, there could not be much to this area other than size. No more corridors.

Gragor does a sort of snort laugh.

"No. When Miriht brought wild men, first tribe did not got along with them well. Big fight here. Table broke."

Daglin can give me his Perception check.

Daglin takes his time to check on the door in front of him.

The door appears completely normal, albeit of a primitive make, and free of traps or other trickery...
Nov 28, 2022 10:03 pm
Baelrick opens the door to the south, not caring as much if it is trapped. So far the dangers had been physical and violent.
Nov 29, 2022 1:33 pm
Baelrick opens the door, surprising a wildling and two goblin in what looks like meal preparation in what looks like a rather well-furnished kitchen when compared to the rest of the complex. They each reflexively grab a pan to defend themselves. The wildling then speaks to Baelrick in a heavily accented Mannish.

"Hey, we be just cook. We be looking for no troubles..."

Behind the man, Baelrick can notice two doors leading further in the complex.

"Miriht is dead by mine hand! Leave this place now, and I will cause you no harm!" Baelrick fills the doorway leading to the cooking area and glares at each of the three figures within. Glancing at the two doors, it is likely they lead to pantries of sorts. Possibly the kind to hold meat...
Nov 29, 2022 4:45 pm
Daglin approaches the south door, curious to see what will be the reaction of the two goblins.
Nov 29, 2022 8:32 pm
Tyr took a long hard look at the Wildling he had been frequently compared too and saw nothing in common. Certain by his simpering cowardice he had no trace of Elros' blood. This was no man of Numenor, it was hardly a man at all.

The wildling seems skeptic.

"Miriht have be dead? I be doubting. Miriht be a strong."

The goblins step aside to let Daglin pass through, but eye him carefully...

Gragor then steps in.

"The tall pink skin is speeking truth. Miriht is no more."

To which the wildling answers.

"Gragor? You be traitor! Why should I be a believe you?"
Nov 29, 2022 8:47 pm
"Gragor betrayed none. He fought against your oppressor. Now she lays dead and cold. And if you do not believe me, then Breaker shall show you the truth," to which he holds up the staff!

"Now GO!!!" he thunders.

For a tense moment, it seems like they're about to attack you. Then the goblins and the wildling look at each other, and seem to come to some agreement as they nod to each others and put their pans down, raising their hands to the air.

"Okay you be have killed Miriht. We be giving up."

With this, the wildling and goblins leave the room... only to dash toward the north door once out of the kitchen and pound on the door screaming in a foreign language, but you do not need to speak it to know they are sounding the alarm. Looks like you'll soon ba having a fight on your hands...

Thallan, who had been standing in the hall with the broken table, sees this go down and sighs. The humans, being so loud and crude. All of them. He nocks and arrow and looses it at one of the wildlings frantically pounding on the door.

"Those sligh, devilish animals!" spits Daglin. He rushes in the previous room to attempt to stop the goblins, or face what's coming next.

Tyr observes the wildling, and though, both of you wear furs and hides, his seems poorly cured and more primitive. That plus his personal hygiene leaves to be desired... You're not sure you'd eat any meals this person prepared...

The wildling will attempt to dodge, but will require a critical success... and fails, so this will kill him in one shot. The goblins will make it to the door and bash it, and this will end the "surprise" round...

First round of combat.

Spinning on his heels, Baelrick watches as the goblins and wildling scurry past him through the doorway. He hadn't expected this! As soon as they begin pounding on the opposite door, he fears for the worst. Snarling, he points at the remaining goblins and commands the dogs, "Attack!"

The dogs, however, can't decide whether to listen to him or to Gragor (who had been giving them commands they understood), and the hesitation is palpable.
