Journey Preparations (p.4).
Depending on what piece of alien tech and wear they keep from 4953 Delcia, what they sell and how they spend their money, it might be important for the Nebula Vista Corp. to pre-pay them a day or two so they can purchase equipment (especially enviro-suits).
(looking at the law section, Mesec will need a special written consent form from a corporation to carry his auto rifle...)
Corrosive Fissure Blast — Optional (p.17).
Since my PCs will probably be better equipped and have a few new skill ranks, I could probably use this option, but not all the time. Perhaps roll 1D for each Fissure Blast encountered, on a result of 8-10, make it a corrosive one. (?)
Planned Encounters (p.17)
So do I use unpredictable, or predictable? What worries me would be rolling are 3 too soon. So perhaps I could either roll 2 dice and keep the one I prefer, of perhaps start with 1D+2 or +3, reading any result of 11+ as "0", and then lowering that bonus for each subsequent encounters. (Seeing entry 6 on p.20, I should probably use predictable... ?)
Random Encounters — Optional (p.29)
Do I use those random encounters? Perhaps if I manage to get a group of 5-6 players... I'll admit, some of them can be quite dangerous, but others can grant the party valuable equipment or extra ©... Also, looking at the Scaling Encounters section on p.37, perhaps modifying the random encounter table to also include search parties or salvage jumpers?
Where to go From Here? (p.36)
There are a few interesting potential continuations for this adventure.Perhaps check if I don't have another published scenario (for FS or otherwise) which could be adapted to those two ideas?
