🦑 The Game System: Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition by Chaosium.

🦑 The Pitch: Beacon Island went dark no more than 15 minutes ago. Treacherous waters, coupled with being plunged into sudden darkness, have the player characters abandoning ship and heading for dry land.

🦑 Adult Themes or Imagery: It’ll be the classic Call of Cthulhu routine. Though this short module is less gruesome than some others on offer; at least it is ‘as written’.

🦑 Characters: It’s a 1920s module, so suitable characters will be required. You don’t need to be connected as a group for this to work, but it can be discussed if that’s something that’s interesting to people.

🦑 Game Length & Posting Rate: It’s a short, tiny little module. I doubt it’ll take very long at all. Further modules could be an option, if everyone is on board. Posting rate is once a day.

🦑 Player Experience and Number: Anyone can feel free to apply. Experience isn’t a problem as this module is specifically intended to be an introduction to the game, in any case.

Looking for between 3 to 5 players.

🦑 How to Apply: Comment below.

I highly recommend KCC as a Call of Cthulhu GM. Jump in quickly and enjoy!

Would gladly join in some 1920s CoC fun, but I have ran this scenario already. It's good fun!

A short, tiny little module is very tempting... just worried I may be overextending again :D

I played in this particular adventure over the winter. It was great fun and as Qralloq said, KCC comes highly recommended.

This is just an Interest Check, not formal Recruitment, is that right?
Jun 18, 2022 5:30 pm
I think it is a recruitment thread

Hm, I see that in his words, but the [IC] confuses Harrigan. So many things confuse Harrigan...

[IC] confuses me often because some people use it in thread titles to mean Interest Check and some for In Character.

But I see recruitment threads be called interest checks regularly

I think it’s an interest check for being recruited?

I see it as

More Cthulhu = More goodness

That sounds like something a cultist would say

This is the actual secret recruitment thread for the Kids on Brooms game, right KCC?

I see there's an island with a lighthouse and then some first years being escorted to the island. (;

Would explain my confusion. I usually use interest check threads to pitch several ideas and gauge interest. I... might be pitching one today. I'd love to play here in KCC's game, but I bet he gets more than enough interest.

I was trying to be hip and trendy by using [IC] as that’s what the cool cats seem to be doing these days on here!

Not sure if any of the above comments are confirmed expressions of interest though.

So plenty of space!

I always have an interest in CoC so I volunteer.

I have been wanting to give CoC a try for a bit now. This one-shot sounds perfect, consider me another volunteer if you need more.

I’ve got @nezzeraj, and @DSquid as victims participants!

Can I put you down for a tiny, little module, @CESN?
