Starting things off here — let’s talk Lines and Veils. Lines are things we don’t want in the game, at all. They aren’t a thing that will be referenced, described, discussed. Like puns, or Donald Trump becoming president of the USA again. Veils are things that exist in the game, but we won’t be dwelling on in an on-screen way.
I usually start with something like:
Lines: -
Veils: Violence Against Children, Sexual Assault, Gratuitous Torture
So those veils are things that can happen and need to be worried about, but they are generally off-screen and won’t be a big focus of the game.

Sorry for the delay today... a very busy one. Storm, shoveling, board games with a friend, picking someone up at the airport, dropping them a long way away, delivering xmas OJ, staying for an adult beverage, cleaning up after the board games... woof!

How are we doing in terms of pacing?
We never spoke about this, but do we think Harrigan’s Pathfinder-interrupting shenanigans were a red herring, or was something more up there? Is it connected to the school staff situation?

With two Edges, Freddie would increase Agility, Athletics and Shooting. He's been trying to "rebuild" his Athleticism, and that will be more of a focus than ever. His academic goals remain, going to university for biology studies, but he may be looking to stay closer to home, given the Alien invasions that happen from time to time. His loyalties won't allow him to leave his sisters until they're stable and independent.
Lastly, his stepmom is a big unknown, and what happens to her might alter all of his plans, if for example he has to become the adult guardian of the house.

For Emily's two advancements, she will do the following:
Adv 1: Increase two skills that are lower than their linked attributes by one die type each for fighting and shooting, bringing them both up to d6
Adv 2: Increase one attribute by a die type. She will bring Spirit up 1 die to d8.
Because of her background and flaky parents, she might start training at the local gym to enhance her fighting powers and do some shooting at the range or her backyard.
