"For Gym class. They have a bunch of stuff in there. We could grab a few things and then… TO WAAAR!" Lily says, channeling some of that Pathfinder energy from last night.

He pokes Emily under the table, and gives her a wink. "Gromm won't mess with us all at once. Besides, it sounds like he was trying to grab you and take you somewhere. There? Could be."

Emily is riled up now and ready to bonk some teachers over the head. Buoyed by Freddie's wink who didn't forget yesterday after all, she stomps toward the gym.

Lily looks to Wendy, then:

"You don’t have to come, if you don’t want! You keep getting dragged into trouble with… me."

She was going to say us, but really it was Lily that tackled the teacher, and whacked Fred’s sister.

Wednesday 12:15pm - The Gym (All)

The four friends make their decision, then wind their way through the hot, busy school to the gymnasium -- which they find unoccupied! The equipment rooms are, of course, locked. And the keys? In Ms. Maidstone's office, on a large keyring hanging on the wall. Peeking through the window in the closed door reveals that the teacher is in there, working on her computer.

"We need someone to distract her while Lily goes in and snatches the keys," Zach says after the group has cased the situation. He just assumes it would be Lily going for the keys. That's a Lily thing to do. "I could talk to her about my regularly missing her gym classes," he suggests with a shrug. "Unless someone has a better idea."

Glad to see the gym empty because in her haste to go there, she hadn't thought up a plan if it wasn't empty, she meets Freddie's eye briefly, then turns to Zach.

"That's an idea, Zach. You'd really be willing to do that?"

Zach shrugs. "Sure. It's not a big deal," he says before realizing that it kind of might be. With red cheeks, he requests, "Though I'll have to ask you not to listen in." His eyes briefly meet Lily's before he addresses the group again and adds, "There's a reason for why I sit out so many classes and she knows it. And I don't want you all to hear it."

Zach smiles gratefully at his friends when they all agree to stay away from his secret without even questioning him about it. He nods. "Yeah, I guess I'm ready. I'll try to lure her out of the office, maybe for a walk around the gym or something," he says. "You hide over there until we're clear."

Once the others are obscured where the gym teacher probably shouldn't see them if she exits the office with Zach, he heads over to the office and knocks on the door. "Uhm, Ms. Maidstone?" he asks through the door. "It's Zach Tidwell. I... Can we talk about gym class next week?"

Wednesday 12:20pm - Preparing to Raid the Armory (All)

Through the narrow window in the door, Zach can see Ms. Maidstone look up from where she's typing, glancing towards the door before she gets up and makes her way over to let the boy in. She's the kind of person who moves with grace and athleticism even when she's just crossing the floor, and Fred is not alone in thinking she is the hottest damned teacher in the school. The very epitome of litheness, she wears Lulu lemon tights and a fitted sports tee, and she's smiling as she opens the door.

"Mr. Tidwell," she says mildly. "Missed you in class yesterday. Everything okay? What can I do for you?"

Over the woman's trim shoulder, there it is -- the big key ring and all the keys, hanging on the wall.

Alrighty, you're on, Zach!

Everyone else... you're trying to stay out of sight. (Not just from Maidstone, but anyone else wandering along as well.) Let's have the worst of you roll Stealth -- that's either Lily or Fred, and I'm going to go with Lily here as I have something else planned for Fred. Lily, make this check at +1 as there are loads of decent places to hide near the gym. Fred and Emily, you can both Support if you want -- roll a relevant skill to help the group stay quiet and out of sight. Success means +1 for Lily, +2 if you also get a Raise. Fred, to know where the best weapons are, I'd also like an Athletics or Common Knowledge roll from you, at +2 since you know the school well and are a Jock.

Zach scratches the back of his neck nervously. It's really hard not to glance over at where his friends are right now but he forces himself to only focus on Ms. Maidstone. He can tell she's an attractive woman and he's definitely a bit jealous of the obviously great shape she's in, even if he wouldn't actually want to look like her. Unlike Fred or Lily might in his place, though, he doesn't get distracted by her good looks and elegant movements. "Yeah, about that," he says. "I'm really sorry. I just... I had a talk with Rose the other day and she said something. And yesterday was kind of a strange day anyway." He sighs, not moving into the office but staying right where he is. He also doesn't know how to continue, so he just falls silent, looking at the teacher's face awkwardly.
