Boseman High School Shenanigans: Episode 1

Zach does not follow Lily. "No," he says, taking a step back towards the house's front door. "Not later. You'll tell me right now."
He turns his eyes to the other girl, expecting her to maybe give in easier if Lily continues to refuse. "Wendy?"

"Ok, night!" Lily hurriedly says, closing the door of her parents room ‘accidentally’.

She turns back and stands atop the stairs with both a look and gesture of what the fuck?…

She tip toes down the stairs with a quietness that betrays years of practice, and approaches Zach up close:

"She ran off! She spewed on you, and tried to choke the shit out of me! Wendy was freaking out…" she puts an hand to Wendy’s arm and feels the warmth there.

Protectiveness blossoms in her gut.

"… and she was going to spew all over us again. I let her out so that we could check to see if you were dead or not!" she whispers urgently!

"You let her out?" Zach hisses back at her. "Lily, that's my little sister. I promised her I would save her from the thing inside her. The whole reason we're out here tonight is to save her." He's very clearly agitated. "And even if you don't give a shit about her, you do realize that by now, she probably told all her alien friends about us and their whole army is going to come after us." He stares Lily down angrily, even if he is still feeling dizzy. "How could you do that to her, Lily?"

Zach still feels sick but keeps it in.

Lily is about to answer, when she hears the tell tale signs of parental movement above!

"I’m okaaay!" she calls! "Just saying goodnight to Wendy at the door! Don’t mind us! She’s going now!"

"Yeah, I let her out!" Lily answers, hands going to her hips in a huff. "The alternative was the police finding three half dissolved teenagers in a van that isn’t there’s!" Then there’s a twisted, incredulous look on her face. "How do I not give a shit about her exactly?" she says, remembering to keep all this to angry, urgent whispering.

"Do you see Fred and Emily here? Do you see that creep that sniffs around Rose here tonight? she looks around for dramatic effect.

"No! You see me, and Wendy. And we weren’t the ones who decided to try and play nice with the acid spitting aliens! That was you! Tie her up next time, like I said to do!"

She breathes out:

"Besides… they’ve no idea where we are by now! I got us out of there as soon as she took off running. They won’t know where to look!"

The Woods on the Other Side of the Banks (Fred and Emily)

Seeing that Freddie had things in hand, as much as she was seething with jealousy, she stomps toward the Range Rover and sees hideous wriggling things through the transparent sides of the boxes.

"What the fuuuuck is that?" Emily doesn't know whether to barf, run, or scream. Fear snakes up her spine as she stands momentarily frozen in panicked indecision.

Zach briefly seems baffled by Wendy's comment about his transness and for a moment, it seems like he's not going to say anything anymore, but then Lily speaks up again and his expression returns to anger.
Zach's hands move to his hips, mirroring Lily's pose. "Do you think I'm not pissed at Fred and Emily for leaving right before something this important? Of course I am. But I'm at least as pissed at you." He doesn't much seem to care about whether Lily's parents hear them or not as he doesn't bother to keep his voice down. "Right, tie her up with what exactly? The seatbelts? There was nothing there. And don't act like I was alone into he decision to let her sit up. I asked you and you agreed. And Wendy also let her up."
At Lily's comment that they're safe right now, he scoffs and replies sarcastically, "Right, because we don't have to go to school tomorrow, where they all blend in perfectly and can ambush us. And because they totally don't know who and where our parents and the people we care about are. Do you really think that if Rose shows up at my house with a couple of her friends that my parents aren't going to let her in? They could already be infected as well by now. Because of you."

He turns to Wendy. "What's the point in going out again? She knows we're after her now." Some of his anger seems to have disappeared, replaced by tears that are now rising in his eyes. "We had one chance to save my little sister and you decided to just give up on her out at the first sign of trouble, Lily."

"She’s not my sister! I don’t have to fucking die for her! It might surprise you to learn that not everyone in this town is interested in getting up close and personal with Rose Tidwell! There are other people that are equally as important." the girl argues back, casting a quick eye to Wendy.

She crosses to the front door, and pulls it open:

"Well, if you’re that pissed off at…" she counts on her fingers "… oh right, everyone, then I guess it’s time for you to get the hell out of here." she gestures for Zach to move himself beyond the threshold.

Zach follows Lily's eyes when they move to Wendy. "I know," he says. "And if this had been about Wendy, I would have done everything in my power to help her. Not just given up."

When Lily gestures for the door, he only hesitates a moment before, still weak on his legs, he heads outside.

"Not if you were unconscious in the back seat with a face full of puke, you wouldn’t!"

She stands with one hand on the door, ready to close it after him.

"And it was about Wendy. But you don’t see it like that. If I was dragging her up the stairs to the bath, I’m sure you’d be real sad. But at least we’d have Rose, right?"

Zach doesn't like getting too aggressive with anyone, especially his friends. But Lily's ridiculous attempts to try and defend herself are doing nothing to make him calm down. "Fuck you, Lily. Seriously." As he turns to walk away, he adds, "At least have the decency to feel bad for sacrificing my sister."

The disgusted girl's indecisiveness ends when she realizes that Belinda and Freddie, well Freddie might actually get hurt by his step-mother. She didn't give a shit about Belinda. The creepy crawlies could wait. It was obvious that they weren't going anywhere.

She moves back to the two on the ground and waits for an opening in the wrestling match, hoping to kick Belinda in the side. At the same time, she demands some answers.

"Belinda you bitch, what the hell are those worm things? What the fuck are you doing with them?"
