Boseman High School Shenanigans: Episode 1

The Basement of the School

Fred's assault is an ineffective one; Maidstone blocks and fends off every blow but one -- which just draws a mild grunt from her as he punches her in her incredible abs. Trying to grab at the boy's wrists, trying to settle him down, the teacher smiles and says, "Freddie, please. If you just--"

Maidstone doesn't finish the thought as Emily clocks her with the butt of her gun, right in the side of the head. Falling back against the wall, the gym teacher slides unconscious to the ground as Lily slams open a classroom door. Inside is the woodwording shop, and a plethora of tools-come-weapons to choose from...

The Asylum

Fighting as hard as he can, unwilling to give up and desperately unset about what's happening to Aaron, Zach is eventually overpowered in the hall by the two stronger teachers. Holding him, they start marching him in the same direction, back towards the tunnels.

The Tunnels

If there was ever any doubt, Zach quickly recognizes that they were indeed being held in the old asylum. He fights and struggles as much as he can, varying from pure resistance to just going limp and being dead weight... but the unnatural strength of both Mrs. Carlisle and Mr. Myers is sufficient to bear the boy along towards his fate, into the tunnels, past where Zach had felled and killed Gromn, towards the intersection leading to the school, the hospital, and the steam plant. Ahead, Aaron and his awful controlling apparatus, whatever it is, outpace them. By the time they near the meeting of the four tunnels, he is heading for the steam plant.

The Basement of the School

After securing her weapon of choice, Lily looks in the unconscious teacher's mouth as Fred pockets the woman's phone and Emily variably frets and fumes. Nothing unusual is visible in Maidstone's mouth, but lolling her head around and forcing her mouth open does illicit a groan from the woman, and also a loud sound like a stomach gurgle or burbling fart from her well-defined midsection.

The Tunnels

It's a quick task to truss Maidstone up with duct tape and other materials taken from the shop (Fred will long remember how she looks right now) -- and just in time, as she comes to and struggles against her bonds, yelling ineffectively into her gag as the three kids head through the still-broken door she was guarding.

Now well-armed, the teens run down the tunnel towards the intersection, intending to turn right when they get there and head for the asylum. But as they approach -- they see figures far ahead, down the passage that leads to the steam plant. Two people dragging or carrying someone?

Then, the sounds of a scuffle.

The underground passage leading to the plant isn't long, and there's a heavy door at the end. One that Aaron must have passed through, and now that Mrs. Carlisle now approaches to open so that Myers can force the boy through. When the door opens, it's like a portal to hell has been revealed. The heat and stink that pours out of the place, the rank humidity, the pallid red light, the weird, sticky, gooey, nasty sounds.

Dragged forward into the threshold, Zach glimpses things he'll never be able to unsee in that dimly-lit room. It's filled with old boilers and piping and catwalks and God knows what, but there also a space on the floor that everything has been pushed back from. There are several empty plastic crates that are stacked up, and four more that positioned near the center of the room that are not empty. Extra-terrestrial slug-creatures writhe and squirm in those cases, behind their little clear plastic doors.

Aaron stands mutely nearby, and two people are tied, back to back, seated on the wet concrete floor. Both look dazed, like they are half-conscious and not at all prepared for the two small, disgusting lifeforms that are slowing making their way across the floor, leaving long slime-trails behind them. They are about to become hosts, Zach knows, and surely he and Aaron are next.

Inside are also two people who seem to be making sure everything is going as planned. Fred's mother, Belinda, and Mr. Unger! Near them, arrayed on a table are a whole number of strange looking tools and devices -- alien-looking implements.

"Come on Zach, dear," Mrs. Carlisle says, holding the door open as Myers tries to muscle the boy into the room.
