The steam plant is coming into better focus for Lily now as she approaches the center of the big room. Without aliens trying to kill or grossly en-slug-inate her, without the adrenaline pumping quite as hard, she sees the wall of what looks like a bunch of stacked plastic containers. Each about the size of a shoe-box but see-through... and each containing one of the slugs.
There are
dozens of them, and they squirm and squeak and mewl as she looks up -- at the figure of the being she somehow knows was called the Warden. Blue-skinned, bald... clearly some
other kind of alien. He -- they? Hangs limply, like they are dead or close to it. On the floor lie two more ray-pistols, and a handful of what look like stun-batons. And beside that high-tech gear? Two teens tied together, and paralyzed from that same slug slime. Would-be sacrifices Kelly Unger, and some goofy-looking nerd girl who hasn't been in the movie yet, and who the audience won't remember.
Behind Lily, Zach is recovering, and Fred stomps the fourth worm flat, spraying its grisly, disgusting innards all over the floor as it bursts like a five pound pimple. This makes the assembled walls of worms writhe angrily, but there appears to be nothing they can do about it. The boy is wiping is feet when the door to the plant suddenly opens and someone rushes inside. That same someone looks harried, is panting from running, and slams a heavy bolt into place locking the door.
Zach and Emily are closest, and know immediately who it is.

Rose Tidwell
Rose.
The girl turns, takes in the scene, and her eyes go wide.
"Oooooh. Uh oh. Hi everyone. The -- the aliens are right outside. We have to escape!"
