The dazzling ray from Lily's blaster narrowly misses Marco, carrying on down the hall, lighting the corridor as it streaks away. Corbitt looks up, shocked as the presence leaves his head, and as he sees the girl who was trying to get in right in front of him!

Emily's nine-millimeter goes off again, a concussive blast that shatters the relative quiet of the steam plant, and Marco winces as the bullet grazes his cheek, drawing a red line across his skin!

"Marco!" Zach calls out in a panicked voice. "Holy shit, Emily, what the hell is wrong with you?"
He steps in front of Marco to defend him with his own body. He had been pretty sure Marco's not a slug before, but figured they need to be sure. Now, that is not the priority. The priority is keeping him alive and making sure he doesn't think they're the enemy. "Someone take her down before she kills someone!"

OOC:

Can I make some sort of Persuade to try and convince Marco that only Emily is insane? If not, Zach will just go into full shielding mode.

Lily looks to Fred, uncertain. They need to get out of here. Her mind suddenly returns to Kelly Unger and the other girl tied together behind the group.

"We can if it means leaving here alive," Emily hears Lilly's thoughts in her head and snaps back out loud at the girl.

"There is nothing wrong with me. Is there something wrong with you, Zach? Don't anyone touch me if you don't want a bullet. I'm not kidding guys. Make yourselves useful and untie the others. Marco, don't fucking move. Zach step aside!" Emily orders, pointing the nine-millimeter at Marco's head.

Zach raises the cattleprod in his hand in Emily's direction without stepping out of the way between Emily and Marco. "You're fucking insane," he tells her. "There is no reason for you to turn your gun on him. None at all. Even if you think he has been taken by one of them, we have a reliable way to help him without resorting to murder."

"Then fucking do it. We don't have all day!" The pistol is still pointed at Marco and Emily's hand is beginning to grow unsteady. Whether it's from fear or exhaustion, she's not sure, but her tough facade might be starting to weaken.

Lily winces as the scene unfolds.

"Look, we’re not aliens!" she says to Marco with her hands out in an unthreatening manner.

"We’re just on edge. Zach…" she says to the boy. She had tossed him the stun stick for this very occasion. Neither her or Fred had landed a hit.

"We need to be sure. Emily…" she says as gently as possible. "Maybe you can untie the girls back there?"

Freddie isn't keen on getting shot in there head again. He still has a chisel in his other hand. Even if Marco isn't slugified he's a dangerous element. He tries his own piece.

"What is wrong with all of you?" Zach asks, looking between Emily and Fred, unsure what is actually going on here. "Yes, we need to make sure Marco is still himself, but we have no reason to want to hurt him." He points a finger at the raygun in Fred's hand. "We have a safe and reliable way to make sure he's himself." Then, looking at the gun in Emilys hand and the chisel in Fred's, he adds, "But anyone looking to hurt him has to go through me. There's no need for that."
