Boseman High School Shenanigans: Episode 1

Once the bell goes and the kids all start finding their way into the school, chaos reigns for a few moments. The halls are packed, people are rushing to lockers and classrooms, and various teachers with upbeat attitudes are present to say good morning.

Ms. Maidstone is there, in fine form in her shorts and tight tee, and looking good, at least to Fred's eyes. Super-fit, the gym teacher knows practically every kid in the school by name. "Good morning students! Happy Monday! Zach, Freddie, good to see you! Hello Emily, hello Wendy and Lily!"
Ms. Garcia Gonzalez, a new teacher to the school this year, stands outside her classroom in a dress that's really a bit short for a teacher... and she is gorgeous, attracting the attention of students, parents, and teachers alike when they meet her. The woman lights up a room.

"Buenos Dias!" she greets everyone as they walk past.
Mr. Dubois just has this winning smile, and his biceps strain his shirt when he folds his arms in front of his muscular chest.

"Morning kids. Hope you enjoyed you weekends and are ready for a good week at Boseman."

Wendy peels off for her first class after saying bye to Lily, then the quartet makes their way to Mr. Edge's math classroom... which they find open, but empty. Very unusual -- Edge is a prompt, on-time kind of guy, and with a test on the menu, it's strange that he's not present.

Math Class - 835AM

"That's odd. Where is Mr. Edge?" Emily asks nobody in particular.

"Hopefully sick," Kelly Unger says from where she's leaning against the wall near the windows, checking her phone. Kelly's long, wavy blonde hair is perfect. It has to be, of course -- she's the head clearleader at Boseman, and the top of the food chain when it comes to Mean Girlness. Her flouncy skirt shows off her long, tanned legs, and her baby doll tee does the same for her flat belly and in-your-face curves.

"Who gives a test this soon in the semester, anyway?" she wonders aloud. "Guy needs to get his shit together."

"Right!?" Dave Moore chimes in as he walks into the lime green colored classroom. Wearing his varsity jacket, Dave is big man on campus, the quarterback of the football team and a burning hunk of masculine hotness. "I saw him this morning, though -- we had an early workout on the field. Big game is Friday night, woo! Yeah!"

Moments later -- after the second bell has rung and class is already supposed to be underway, a teacher appears in the doorway holding an armful of papers. It is not Mr. Edge, but rather Mr. Polensky -- another teacher in the math department. He doesn't look himself; his hair is unkept, he's wearing a polo and a down vest instead of his usual button down shirt and tie, and his eyes are glassy. If the kids had to guess, they'd say he looks exhausted... or maybe stoned, or hungover.

"Mr. Edge isn't going to be here today," he says, proceeding into the room. "So... I'll stand in for him and -- and administer your test." Handing portions of the the stack of tests to the kids in the first rows of desks, he adds, "pass these back. You have until the bell to turn them in."

The Math Test - 838AM

It doesn't take long for the students who aren't already "in position" to find and take their seats. Calculators are out, pencils are ready, names are written at the tops of the first page... and then they begin!

Mr. Polensky stands at the front of the class, watching, looking from teen to teen as the class starts working. He doesn't answer Zach, but the boy, sitting up front, does see that the man's shirt is stained. Definitely should have gone through the wash before wearing it to school.

Minutes pass -- five... ten... twenty... thirty... and it becomes clear that the test is no simple affair. This is Precalculus, and anyone who knows better realizes that Mr. Edge is just trying to prepare the kids for college-level math...
