February 24th 4710 AR

The band of misfits loads the carts and preps the horses on the outskirts of Restov, southern Brevoy cultural center. Spring is pushing it's way into the region and our heros are bless with a warm day of early spring travel.

The landscape in Southern Brevoy consists of sparsely populated farmlands. A single road runs along the country’s southern border; following the Shrike River. Of note, Nivakta’s Crossing is the southernmost village in Rostland. A center for traders, hunters, fishers, and trappers.

The road turns away from the Shrike River at a set of roaring waterfalls. Past this point the terrain become significantly more wild, and the road more rough. It is a known fact that Brevoy's patrols rarely enter this grassland wilderness, despite being claim by the nation.

Travel is uneventful, before the sun sets on the third day of travel. You see a 4 point wooden fort in the distance, catapults defending each point.

As we're going along i will gather plants/herbs for medicine and food when we stop, as it is convenient. We will likely need them and they will make our rations tastier.

While on the road the chatty halfling rattles off all the things she knows familiars can do ....

The little Leshy gathers the collected herbs in a large pile and attempts to sleep on them like a dragon on treasure ...

As long as Filbert is not ruining the herbs or unsorting the bundles I'll let him sleep on his hoard. If he is ill pick him his own special hoarde in a basket I weave for him.

The trading post is surrounded by 10-foot-high wooden palisade and appears to be a renovated of some border fort. The single 30-foot wide wooden gate remains open.

As you approach the fort there is a carpenter working one of the tower roofs. Engrossed in his work he does not here the wagon train until the group is near the fort. Startled by the group he jumps knocking a set of fine tools and a crossbow off the roof.

"Who goes there| he says warily

Fear not good sir, we are here to lend aid, and hopefully bringing a bit of security and peace to these lands. I am Dalia a humble servant to Calistria, and these are my companions good men and women all.

"Hold on, I'm coming down" says the large man as he moves to the ladder, shouting toward the main hall "Svetlana!"

As you enter the trading post you are greeted warmly by a fair woman.

"Ah, you are the help sent from Restov, yes? Finally they respond to our letters. Come in, you have travelled long? There is a stew on"

We have some fresh herbs we can share for seasoning. I have Filbert come forward with bundles of the correct leaves to offer to share.
