The drama department secretly spins LOTS of urban legends into the student zeitgeist to obfuscate the truth and, frankly, just to make the whole affair sound really much cooler than ut probably was.

Oddly, the Department of the Interior. Also, the school Drama Department is locally involved in the cover up.

A few years back.

15. Who took the fall for the whole thing? Was there a scapegoat? Were they innocent?

The scapegoat was a student that the drama dept and administration wholly made up. Was it to shield a popular or wealthy student from consequences? Was it because they don't actually know who did it but wanted the matter closed?

Had an idea for the school crest/mascot/whatever. Two knights jousting, one with a short lance, the other with a long paintbrush. Motto: "The brush is mightier than the lance."
