"Mike, get that fucking door open this instant!" Leigh demands, trying to make her way over to it as quickly as she can without breaking through the floor. They're so close. If Mike is behind that door, then so must freedom.

"Mike? Is that you? You gotta get us out of here! Ram the damn doors with the van if you have to!" Ricky shouts across the room, hopefully loud enough for Mike to hear.

"Guy?! Guys!" the beating comes faster as he hears your voices.

"Alright! Watch out! I’m going to break down the door! The place is on fire!" he shouts, and you see his silhouette retreat from the door, presumably off to the van.

Unlike his colleagues, Professor doesn't hurry towards the door, instead stopping almost immediately after entering the hall so he can open his case again. He rummages in it frantically, sparing only one moment to look up and offer Alice a vicious glare of his own, and eventually produces a small red canister. It has no identification signs except a very telling symbol of a burning flame, and Narcissus wastes no time in opening it and sticking a wick inside. (If someone was paying attention to what he is doing, they'd probably have questions about why exactly he carries around a DIY Molotov cocktail kit, but alas.) Vonsham then proceeds to glance around as if to evaluate what item in their vicinity is the most flammable, before shrugging, lighting the wick and throwing it at the bannister, straight at Alice's snarling visage.

"Place is on fire indeed, Mike, and it's going to be even more on fire in a second," he murmurs to no one as the canister sails through the air.

The canister sails through the air, erupting into flames at the feet of Alice. Smoke starts to billow heavily as the wet wood starts to catch!

It’s out of that smoke that the form of Alice bursts, gripping the Professor by the throat. Leigh, and now the Professor… The noose in the attic…

The forms of Joe and Justin step into the place that Alice just occupied, as the smoke billows about them. They train their gaze on Leigh and Ricky, as they try to work the door and make good their escape.

You start to cough, as the smoke starts to spread; more wet wood going up in heaping plumes of smoke. The Professor feels the grip tighten on his throat. As Alice snarls at him, he sees her own spectral wounds: a dark, bruised ring around her throat.

Leigh and Ricky see the red glow of two lights approaching the front door. Rapidly they come on, and you think to jump out of the way at the last second, as a loud crash fills the room.

The rear of the crew’s van comes hurtling through the front door of the school. The morning’s sunlight spills into the foyer of Kravis, and you block your eyes against the sudden brightness.

How long had you been in here?…

A multitude of angry shrieks ring out, as the pure light fills the room. Joe and Justin, descending the stairs go up in puffs of smoke, while Alice backs away like a wild animal, snarling and hissing.

A haggard Mike opens the rear doors of the van a moment later:

"I was banging for fucking hours, people! Place was jammed up tight!"

You watch as Alice shrinks into the darkest part of the room, before scurrying up the walls and into a broken crevice between the recreational room and the foyer. The room looks less… supernatural now. Less wet, but very much still catching alight.

"Lets fucking move, people! Alright? Alright!

Where are our stars?"
he asks, looking around at the three of you!

"The star," emphasis on the singular, "Is right here. Everyone not here is dead. Jesus, Mike, you actually picked a real haunted house! Which I want to get the hell out of right now!" Ricky skedaddles, as dignified as one can skedaddle, out of the busted open front doors and toward the van. As he passes by Leigh he even grumbles "And not even a sprinkler system to get her shirt wet. What a shit day." He climbs into the passenger side, where the star sits, and folds his arms waiting for the others.

Leigh shoves Mike as hard as she can with one hand while still holding on to her camera with the other. Joe's final moments (well, final moments before he turned into an evil, vengeful ghost) are on that camera, so she's not going to just leave it behind. "They're fucking dead, man! Why the fuck did you send us into an actual ghost house?"

She follows Ricky to the car but heads to the trunk where she carefully puts her camera into its case to keep it safe. Her hands are shaking as she mutters to the camera, "We got out of there. And I got you, Joe. You paid me to make you look good. Well, I have the shot to make you a fucking hero."
When she's done, the professor is next to her, storing away the parts of his equipment that he hasn't used to create that damn inferno next to them. "We're alive," she says, turning to him. "Because you're a fucking idiot who set the whole place on fire." She's laughing madly, then suddenly, her arms are around him and her lips on his as she pushes him against the van.

Professor moves away from the wrecked front entrance and leans heavily against the van, still coughing as he drops his case on the ground, buries his head in his hands and emits a muffled scream in a rare display of emotion. It thankfully goes unnoticed by the rest of the crew - or at least he'd like to think that it does, - and Narcissus has enough time to more or less compose himself, pretend that he is busy with his equipment and isn't in any form of shock from witnessing two grotesque murders and a vengeful ghost band.

He only lifts his head when Leigh explains the situation - complete disaster that it is, - to Mike, and seems like he's about to comment something; probably boast about wonders of pyrochemistry or advise them to call the police or fire department before the building collapses on top of them in the last act of enmity. But whatever he was about to say remains unsaid, since Narcissus barely manages to make a noise before he is suddenly ambushed by Leigh's... unexpected display of affection. Not unwelcome but quite startling, especially considering the situation. Or maybe, from a certain point of view, it is exactly *the* perfect situation.

When Leigh pulls back, Narcissus awkwardly clear his throat, a slight blush well-visible against his skin. "That... was probably ill-advised. My lungs are likely still full of ethylene, and it's hardly the best thing to inhale." He smiles slightly to indicate a joke, trying to cover up the fact that he is so out of his depth with these things; it's been ages since anyone tried to kiss him or since he was interested in being kissed. Well, he'll figure it out later, if this isn't just the adrenaline messing with both of them. "And my fire-setting was indeed amazing, thank you very much for noticing. Shame it didn't get the building proper."

Professor pauses, glances over at said building and then sighs. "...We really should call the fire department."
