Lucian was rather pleased to be out of the ring alive. He knew his skill set was based upon being at range with the ability to see his foe. He gave Kris a half bow, admitting her superior speed. The conversation around him was quick, although he silently agreed with Keltos even as the other's tactics confused him. Master Fane made a point that sounded logical on the surface, but he had never once improved a relationship with someone by being pit against them for a prize. Which meant there was probably another goal here.
Perhaps the others had gotten something from this, but what had he gained? Well, knowledge that if Kris was an ally it was a good thing, he supposed. The others had gained no knowledge of him or his capabilities, however, beyond his lack of speed and physical fragility. He rather thought the second was obvious and that the first could have been found out in another way. It wasn't useful for him to have that known, but it wasn't exactly earth shattering. Although, he supposed he had learned which of them was most likely to kill him by stabbing him.
They were dismissed, and he was happy to oblige. Lucian turned to leave the room with Useless tucked against his face. He understood why his friend worried, but it wasn't needed at that time. Dancing to someone else's tune wasn't exactly new to him. He paused before he left fully and looked to Chamberlin. "Could you direct me to the stables? I would like to spend time with Marengo, since I have free time to do so."
