Wish Moonshadow was better trained and Kendral could get him to attack a specific target, like the THREE dudes surrounding Xaka or the Dryads themselves.
Chapter 2: The Creepy Forest
Wish Moonshadow was better trained and Kendral could get him to attack a specific target, like the THREE dudes surrounding Xaka or the Dryads themselves.
If you're hit, make armor saves; then we will know the results.

Grimbly's resistance is 6; rolled automatically. Just need Belvedere.

Katie needed a 5 to prevent taking a strike. She rolled a 3. She COULD add +2 karma from her karma pool and make it a 5 but she took the strike (fail) instead so she gets +1 karma to add to her pool for future use. Same with Xaka. Xaka failed her amor rolls. Since they are 2 seperate rolls she can add +2 (+1 for each fail) to her karma pool for future use.
Does everyone understand why the Dryad's succeed in charming the human males? They met the resistance AND they did not roll a 1. Extremely lucky.
Now all we need is Kendral's armor save attempt, then the monsters' turn is over.
The Dryads, in unison, command their new boy toys to 'find a large tree and rest under it until told otherwise' in sweet harmonic voices. (free action) while they step towards them.
The Voices
Grimbly turns to the dryads and says, "I see through your tricks! I will not be resting under a large tree or any tree for that matter!"
???

So that's a fail and therefor I take a strike and I can add a Karma point to Kendral's karma pool?
Rolls
Kendral: Armor Save - (1d6)
(2) = 2
Belvedere and Grimbly find themselves willingly heading towards a tree that looks like it would be comfortable to sit under; coaxed by the soothing seduction by Dryad1 and Dryad2
The others find themselves in battle with these wooden men. One of them is clearly injured but the friendlies have taken a few knocks too.

Rolls
Boon on Melee tasks - (2d6H1)

It seemed as though a line was being tugged between himself and the dryads.

1d6 : (4) = 4
1d6 : (3) = 3
She takes a deep breath, swallowing her fear, trying to open her perception and see everything while focusing on nothing. With a surprisingly feral shout from such a small frame, she steps into a spin move and swings Nutbuster in a vicious arc that she visualizes cutting thru the injured treeman and continuing through the second.
Spending second Karma to raise Confirm to 6.
Katie will use the crit as carryover damage to treeman #2.

"Any help from bird, beast or man would be greatly appreciated!" he shouts finally before reaching the tree!
I imagine Xaka does some kind of combat roll, disengaging from the 3 surrounding her to help Katie. She drives her spear deep into it, defeating it. It instantly rots. Katie hits like a slugger and burst the second one into splinters. It too, instantly rots and returns to dust. Moonshadow's dive misses but this gives Kendral a clean shot and his arrow connects. However, his woodman is still pursuing him. The other two find a nice comfortable tree to lean against, lured by the crooning dryads.
Tomorrow I'll post the Monster's turn. Looks like the score has been evened.

The Wooden Men pursue Xaka and strike and her and Katie. The other, with a arrow deep in his torso, pursues and strikes at Kendral.
