Okay, I just checked and WittyName has been inactive for 8 months and MinMin has been inactive for 3 months. I'll play their roles to finish out this adventure, but it may be time to either recruit some new blood or call it quits. What do you folks prefer?

New Blood!

I'm enjoying it and would be happy to continue.

Right then, after this section, I will try to recruit some players.

Woot!

Higher level than 1 should attract some interest

I'm going to be out from next Tuesday (April 29) until the next Sunday (May 4). We are making a trek down to Disneyworld and I will not be able to respond to posts. I should be okay to respond until that time. If I am in your game, please bot me as necessary. If you are in my game, sit tight and I'll pick up when I return (though as I said, I should be able to post up until Tuesday).

I still have never rolled a succesful intimidation check. Lol

Just FYI: if I ever roll a critical threat (nat 20) and don't remember to confirm it, the GM has my permission (encouragement!) to roll that confirmation for me. It just goes faster that way.

(I also prefer it to the alternative of the GM just saying "It's not confirmed, so it's not a crit," though I recognize that would be similarly efficient in terms of posting turnaround time)

My wife is recovering from hip surgery, and I have taken over household duties. Please forgive my slow posting rate.

On that note, I'm going to be on the road 4 - 9 July, so I'll be posting slowly or not at all during that time.

WhtKnt says:
runekyndig says:
OOC:
He is down to HP: -2 / 17 Total: -12 %, but I assumed that he dropped in the hallway of fire. Tailor could heal Taal himself

But this also allows him to use the 6/day summon moster 1 spells that he has.
Tailor himself is also really battered, with only 3 hp left.
AOE damage is not the summoners friend
OOC:
Okay, didn't think about Tailor just resummoning him (though I guess it is a different personality). Didn't want you to lose a key part of your character so early the campaign.
Taal can be resummoned by a minute-long ritual, but I can't summon monsters and have the eidolon active at the same time.
Beside, Tailor is a kid, and this is the first time Taal went down. There is some emotional processing required.
Unless, @WhtKnt suggest that trouble is ahead and Taal should be summoned ;)

No, you should be fine for the night, at least.

I'll be on the road for the next few days, with intermittent internet access.

I'm struggeling with playing this 12 years old 3rd level character. His best friend just die and he was close call for Tailor himself. (The fire trap could have killed him)

At the moment I'm searching for a reason why he is staying with the group, cause this is no longer a fun adventure. At the age of 12, there is little sense of duty.

I'm sorry if I'm rocking the boat for this game, I thought we were playing kids, not harden adventures in kids body.

I have to share the sentiment. As it is, I can suspend disbelief, that a noble child would ditch his family for a days-long journey with strangers, but on its premise, it’s weird, for me.
I’m basically going to start playing Darvin as something of a regular adventurer, at least a coming-of-age one.

Thats the spirit!

The setting itself is barely after the Time of Troubles. Most of us were born during the events of Cormyr when the weave of magic was torn apart. Then there was the Godswar which happened during our toddler years. And the Neverwinter-Luskan war just started. So it makes sense that there are very few adults. And it is unfair that the children have to pick up the slack. No one else is going to. But who said life is fair?

Granted my childhood was not necessarily something that was conducive to being a child. Growing up quick and mean. Just can't relate with "childlike" behavior.

Understood. If it helps, remember that you have been thrust into something for which you are not prepared. You've had to grow up quickly. Though I will admit that the adventure has taken a darker turn than originally intended (my original intent was more light-hearted adventures, but as often happens with my writing, my heart took over where my head wanted to lead). The book I am referencing, Childhood Adventures, does not really address the idea that 12-year-olds even in a light-hearted game, if not denied experience points, would level up more quickly than they would age and I'm afraid that I didn't put much thought into it either, or I might have gone another route. If you find it impossible to suspend disbelief, I will not feel ill towards you if you wish to go (though I hope you stay).

Alternately, we can abandon the idea that they are children and just "age" them up, if that makes it easier.
