He would definitely spend a point (or more) on this, since it's a big deal (to him), and would probably mean making monthly payments, plus tax/tag/title, and new insurance.

Would Reg like to spend a point of Negotiation to haggle that price down and maybe get a special wax coating that lasts for years added on for free?

Reg should have 2 Points in BS Detector - the sheet is showing 0/2. It shows him low on a few of his other things, too, like Preparedness and Stability. I think the screenshot we have is from after a game, where he spent/lost points that I guess would have been regained by now?

He is not sure if he's supposed to haggle, but he may express slight dismay at the price, and turn the conversation towards repairing his current vehicle.

Reg can tell the guy is jacking the price up. Perhaps if he speaks directly to the general manager to hired him, he could improve the price?

The car he shows you has more amenities than the other one. But he will offer it as the price you are wanting.

It has AC, CD player AND cassette player built in! Lots of spiffy car stuff, like v8, suspension stuff, etc.
It is within your budget.
