Sirry. Since you were talking to other PCs I assumed you stay with them to enable your telepathic talking.
I will update game thread accordingly

Yeah, I talked then went into the stairs. I didn't explicitly state going down. Added it.
Only plan to explore more being the stairs landing if the others want to go down and skip the test of this level

Tante Lude is waiting for the scouts to come back with a report before making a decision. Otherwise, why send them?

The objective of this module is to find and stop whatever is affecting necromancy on this plane correct?
My character just wants to get home and if he can kill the maniac that brought him here, all the better.

Are there any clues that would guide the party in its investigation? If not then It seems like a full sweep of each level would be appropriate. If that is the plan then we still have a few rooms to the south on level 3 to check out.

But honestly I am fine skipping ahead to the next level

Your current objective is to "get out of the tomb(dungeon) alive". I can spoil:
[ +- ] Spoiler
It could be logical that the exit from the thomb is at the lowest level, so feel free rush down. I see no problem with that.

Do you stay in this level, go 25 down, go 50 down and open the doors. go 50 down and follow the south corridor, do anything else - I'm good with anything you do, I'm just waiting for your decision, dear players.

"the artefact?"

Spoiler alert! (and no, I have not read and do not plan to read this module. I like surprises, even when they kill me.)

We can always skip this small side stairwell and just go so the easy down the main one we used so far

@Psybermagi when your wrote "heads into the room" which room did you mean?
You are currently at staircase inside of a stone column and outside the doors there is a cavern may I ask you refer to these? It would help me a lot, thanks

There is also the lake, a pair of stone conduits - one connecting a Gigantic stone cog to walls another - the stone column

Just to give you a heads-up that the smile isn't a creature and any spells that specifically target creatures will not impact it.
You will need to either use martial weapons or spells such as Fire Bolt described as Target: A creature or object within range to make an attempt to destroy an object.

More details here

Me is slow on reading. LOL. Let's try a magic arrow.

You worried me with that post, I had to flip over to the game post and see if there was a menacing chesire cat type danger. :-)

Prestidigitation. Treat it like mud.
Jul 9, 2025 7:16 pm
@badbaron I am aware that a lot of DMs ignore DnD written rules related to objects and would rather invent their own. As a result lot of players have expectation for spells to work the way I disagree they do in this particular system (5e).

@WanderOne Prestidigitation? Which effect? Do you want to chill, warm, or flavor up to 1 cubic foot of nonliving material for 1 hour?
I can't find Prestidigitation mentioning mud.

If you are reffering to " You instantaneously clean or soil an object no larger than 1 cubic foot." then the object is whole floor and covered in slime isn't really the same as "not clean"

You've been clear on this from the beginning; I hope not to repeat earlier mistakes.

Carry might not work then. How much weight can Criella handle?
