Dr. Harris lost his daughter to cancer. Stricken with grief, he devoted his life to researching a way to bring people back from the dead. He is experimenting on cadavers, but so far everyone he resurrected has come back as flesh-eating zombies. A couple of them managed to escape containment and cause some trouble, almost eating a teenage boy alive – which they would have, had the heroes not intervened at the very last second. Dr. Harris believes he is doing the right thing and that his research will help humanity (though what he really wants is to bring his daughter back). He even provided medical care for the bitten boy, and is going to take better measures to keep the ‘Resurrected’ from escaping again
.
Another complication are the ‘Lost Boys’ – teenage runaways and gang members who each lost someone dear to them, and are helping the doctor with the hope he could resurrect their loved ones. Their desperation makes them as dangerous as the Zombies, but the main concern was how to neutralize them without harming anyone.
The Doctor and the Lost Boys are using the abandoned hospital as their main HQ. The Lost Boys have been hijacking medical supplies at gunpoint, and involved in some other crimes to procure money for their operations. Harmonia could have stopped one of these robberies and interrogated a couple of them, or tracked the Boys back to the abandoned hospital.
