Still debating on her look, but I’m pretty sure this is it…

For NPCs, are we doing one each? The Anchors?

Yeah, nobody has really done their PC anchors yet!

I have everyone make an NPC for the Haven, and that NPC can be your second anchor. Most people choose their own NPC as their anchor, but you could choose someone else’s!

How goes it @bowlofspinach?

Is there a sheet I should use for my PC? Can get her submitted tonight.
Jul 11, 2024 1:51 am
Also, make those PCs public! ;)

There is a TWD sheet. You can select it from the dropdown on a blank custom sheet. I think it's under F, for free league
Jul 12, 2024 6:38 am
Ah, I never, ever make custom sheets that what. Thanks!
Jul 12, 2024 6:40 am
And yeah, I see it now, and would never have found it without a pointer. Thanks again!

KCC -- will submit tomorrow and get an NPC in as well. Sorry for the delays this week.

Submitted!

Also maybe worth noting I tuned some attributes and skills -- after seeing the various requirements limitations on having a skill value of 3, or an attribute of 5.

Richard Kant - The Scientist

Grew up in a small rural town where self-reliance was a way of life. Father was a mechanic, mother a nurse. From a young age, he was fascinated by how things worked, whether it was the human body or mechanical devices. His father taught him how to fix cars, repair household appliances, and improvise tools with whatever was available. His mother instilled in him a scientific curiosity and a basic understanding of medicine and biology. His natural intelligence and curiosity led him to excel in school, particularly in the sciences where he met his wife, current whereabouts unknown. He has a son, Ray, around Owen's age and obsesses on how he can save him if he ever finds him.

Relationships

Billie-Faye Cooper - He might have his eyes on Billi Ray's bewbs. Maybe even a fixation. There's so little joy nowadays. He's also attracted to her wildness that is in direct opposition to his disciplined self.

Owen Peterson - He sees his own son in Owen and wants the boy to like him, even look up to him as a father figure.

Shayna Dawn Beaver - He doesn't know what to make of her so he keeps his distance, but politely. His practical nature tells him a doctor may come in handy.

Angela Whitman - Sympathizes with her trying to find her kid.

Putting these in the right spot -- and also on Billie's sheet.

Richard: Richard's a useful sort, handy and all that. She sees the way he looks at her. Might be worth letting him think he has a chance at fucking her...
Shayna: Tough as nails, seen a lot. Pretty useful to have around.
Owen: Moody weirdo. Wonders if he might be able to help with Tracy.
Angela: A housefrau Billie wouldn't give the time of day to in the before times. But now? Women need to stick together. Even if it's just to get to a man.

Billie's Anchor: Richard -- Flirting with him makes Billie feel good, like the old times.

One of the things that took shape in the last game was that players had their NPC anchor worked out at the outset, but the PC anchor developed through play.

If things aren’t pinned down, we can always see how things go at the table. And if mechanics come into the equation, we can make things more concrete!

I have a day tomorrow that’s free, and then 6 days on again. Busy week, but I’ll try get this ship sailing tomorrow, if it suits!

Will work out PC anchors soon, now that all PCs are available. Might wait to define some of them in play, if nothing obvious springs to mind!

Billie's are set, but I'm happy to adjust or change things up based on how things unfold in the first few scenes. Totally open to doing it differently. It also looks like it's pretty easy to lose an anchor, and then gain a new one:
Quote:
To get a new Anchor you must create a situation where you clearly rely on, trust, live for, or put your faith in another person. When this is established in the game, you may state that the person becomes your new Anchor.
Easy-peasy.

Shayna Dawn's Relationship Statements

Billie-Faye Cooper - Prior to the plague, she'd have had no reason to do anything but mace a woman like Billie-Faye if she got too close. Now, there's a direct pragmatism to her approach to life that she finds little disagreeable about. In fact, she trusts Billie in a way she couldn't explain.

Owen Peterson - There's no mothering instinct here. Owen is on his own, that's clear enough, and only sticking around out of the same cowardice that probably always had kept him from pursuing any dreams. He's just not like the rest of us

Richard Kant - A like-minded scientist, he's self-reliant, too, and they get along just fine. Only, he's a bit of a lech around the younger women and that's mildly disturbing in the unusual moments when she cares.

Angela Whitman - Finds common cause with her trying to find her child. They speak now and again of clues they might find or how to search the hellscape the world has become, but she wants to get to know her better.

How about these releationships:

Billie-Faye Cooper - Owen admires the sheer selfish energy that emanates from the woman. She's tough as nails. Maybe he wishes he could be just as tough. Maybe one day.

Shayna Dawn Beaver - He can't read the woman. She genuinely scares him, with those dead eyes. Wouldn't surprise him if she turned out to be one of the zeds, some day...

Angela Whitman - Owen is glad to have escaped the clutches of his own Mom. He doesn't need another one.

Richard Kant - He finds the man annoying. Like a teacher, he knows a lot of stuff. And like a teacher, he's a total bore.

All looks good to me, and I presume KCC would be okay with fine-tuning this stuff as the characters take better shape through play. Looking forward to this!

Guess we need to rework these.

Struck Angela out above, as others have done.
