Be sure to read the Game Info and Rules thread. It's got info about house rules, special rules I'll be using to adapt the Shadowdome Thunderdark concept to PbP, and other stuff. If you have questions about any of it, ask here. Also, I'm open to changing any of those rules if folks have strong objections.

I'm playing a human ranger, so planning on filling the fighter role. :)

I think we can go ahead and get started while folks are putting final touches on their characters. I'll make an opening post later today.

Since we've gotten to town and found our team mates, have we been told the rules of the competition? Such as, we must leave every night and return to the town?

Before posting in the Session Zero: What does the town consist of? Are we all gathered together?

Hello, gang. My son tested positive for COVID today. To cut down on my stress, I'm gonna hit pause on this game until he gets past the worst of it. Hopefully everyone sticks around, but if you'd rather not wait, I understand. Fingers crossed that I don't catch it myself.

Timplausible got me so excited about playing Shadowdark that I’ve been pondering the possibility of running a 1st level crawl here on GP. If I eventually did that, would any of you be willing to play in it? I was thinking of taking a shot at the introductory module "Lost Citadel of the Scarlet Minotaur". Any takers?

I'd join in. I don't have the bandwidth to run another game, but I could make room to play. I have skimmed the Scarlet Minotaur once, but I don't remember much. What I do remember I can keep to myself.

Thanks for your interest timplausible. I'm still thinking about opening a shadowdark game to try running the system. I was wondering something: how did you think you were going to manage crawling rounds in the play-by-post medium? Were you thinking of letting it mostly freeform, or impose an initiative order?
