Volume II: Prison Break
>>>"No need to get hostile, there Thunderclap... We just want to understand why all of this is important enough for all this chaos. "
"That monster" he pointed at the man behind the bulletproof glass "murdered my mother. He snapped her neck like a twig" the boy took a deep breath to calm himself, his fingers rolling into a fist "He killed so many people, and they have him here, locked up, instead of giving him the electric chair. Someone has to do something about him"
And by something, he meant, snuffing the villain's life "You have any idea how many prisons that man escaped from? Why are they taking a chance with him?!?!"
Ignoring both Mimic and Wrecker, Shockwave lifted his hands and pointed them at the man behind the glass, charging up his most powerful blast yet.
What do you do?
>>>A thousand emotions warred inside Wrecker's mind during that timeless pause in the universe. Randall Ryckowski was a convicted criminal, thief, opportunist, murderer and who knows what else...but he was also Ronnie's father. No matter how Ronnie felt about his father, in as much as he even knew then man, he couldn't let this teenager just murder someone.
"No." Wrecker interposed himself between Shockwave and the senior Wrecker. "Killing isn't the answer. Believe me, I know how bad this guy is but murdering him isn't going to bring anyone back or right any wrong he's done.". He looked right at Shockwave, "You said you never killed anyone that didn't deserve it...
This guy may deserve it but how many people think the same about you? Under different circumstances, that could be you up there and someone else where you're standing."
Not sure if that falls under Take a Powerful Blow or Defend Someone. But currently, he's trying to de-escalate the situation. Not sure what move that falls under, though.
Edit: that went terribly...

Barefoot, he leaped out of the wrecked tomb, the floor beneath him splintering under his weight.
Almost at once, red lights flickered to life in every cell, hallway and control room, an ominous wail of sirens piercing the air all across Rikers Island.
What do you do?
>>>That mystery was cleared up as soon as the man broke through the holding cell and stepped out. "Dad?!?" was all he had the mental bandwith to say. Instinctively, he moved to put himself between the Elder Wrecker and Mimic, the kid and Shockwave.
The elder supervillain didn't care about punching the lights out of his own flesh and blood. His son put himself between him, and the people who tried to kill him. He made his choice, and now he was going to pay for it.
The mighty reverberating 'thud' sent Wrecker Junior flying right through the adjacent wall. A mortal man would have broken every bone in his body, but the teenage superhero was made of sterner stuff. He was dazed, and bruised, lying next to a pile of concrete bricks, but still breathing, and very much still in the fight.
@MEGalodon - there is a thick power cord connected to the contraption the supervillain broke out of. As the teenager alluded to, it could have been used to deliver a shock of electricity strong enough to 'fry' a mortal man. Mimic can yank the power cord, but she should be careful handling a loose electrical cable.
@Greel - describe how Blue Reaper arrives at the scene, and can make a Move.

>>>"Hey." he nodded to Reaper as he climbed back into the room through the hole he'd made a moment earlier. Between himself, his Dad and Shockwave there were enough heavy-hitters in the room to probably collapse the rest of the cell block and trap them all inside...along with anyone else being held down here.
>>> Again, he interposed himself between his Dad and the others. "Hold up there, Pops... Keep that up and you'll bury us all down here.
You included." he said, taking a defensive stance this time. "But I'm not letting you hurt anyone else here just like I won't let them hurt you, Pops." Ronnie was unaware of Reaper already reaching out her psychic influence towards Wrecker, Sr.
He's under the Guilty Condition from his interaction with Shockwave earlier so that puts him at a -2 for Provoke. So, not a good option here.
Maybe Comfort or Support is the right move here.
Try to soothe his Dad & calm him down. That's +Mundane, better odds than Provoke so that's what I'll go with.
Might need a bit of a Team Boost to get it to 7. Anyone wanna chime in?

He was gone, leaving only a cloud of dust and chaos in his wake. But the real danger was just beginning. With a thunderous crash, the entire ceiling collapsed, and massive chunks of metal and concrete plummeted on top of the heroes' heads- a deadly avalanche threatening to bury them alive.
Sorry @witchdoctor, need to resolve one move at a time.
The Wrecker (Senior) marks the 'afraid' condition and has chosen to try to run away.
Mimic and The Wrecker (Junior) can't be harmed by the falling debris, and are probably strong enough to dig their way through. The same can't be said for the teenage boy, Shockwave, or Blue Reaper. If either of you wants to save the NPCs, roll a 'Defend' Move. Blue Reaper - you can try to get out of the way by teleporting in the nick of time (roll to 'Unleash your Powers').
After we resolve what happened, Blacklight can join the fray.
At the last second Reaper finds a guard who hasn't fled and jumps topside right outside the building.
