KEBO
(Kee-boh)
Due in large part to the early rise of the Kebosian Empire and its rapid spread throughout the sector, Kebo (often called the Kebo Faith, the Way of Kebo, the Kebo Path, etc) became, at its height, the de facto state religion of dozens of populated worlds along the Stygian Nebula.
Kebo centers around the worship of an eternal, primordial God King: Kebos. For him are named the planet, its people, their faith, and their language. Kebos is called the Midnight Sun, the Great Dragon, the Sleeper in the Sea, and more. Kebos, in most interpretations, demands strict adherance to a set of moral axioms emphasizing social etiquette and a code of honor, unflinching submission to authority, and personal privation. It is generally accepted today that the ancient practice of Kebo itself emerged from an older, more mystical religion with a more diverse pantheon.
Within the accepted practice of Kebo exist several recognized sects which focus on one or more aspects of the faith. The physical incarnation and/or prophet/representative of Kebos in the mortal realm, when one exists, is known as the Tyrannosaur. It is estimated that around 91% of all Kebosian Reptilians on-and-off world practice some variant of Kebo, as well as around 10-20% of all Thoth-Suroi Avians.
