Okay, so Gilchan and the madman are the only ones chained to something still? Is an ally within melee of an enemy (i.e. would I get sneak attack)?

I am beating on a possible prisoner, so im within 5ft with an enemy, AND you are next to me because we were both near Gilchan

Yes, except the madman, who is out of reach at the back of the cage.

Hold on, would the madman be considered prone?
