Can I use Sacred Flame through other people?

Like, I assume if I used a crossbow I would risk hitting a party member between me and the enemy, but since sacred flame is magic does it just bypass everything between me and the target?

Seems pretty clear that you can re: "descends" and "no benefit from cover"

It's an average roll (10.5) plus the greater of your Strength (Athletics) roll or Dexterity (Acrobatics)

I don't think so. Picking up a weapon is a free action when combined with an attack or movement.

btw maybe this is out of line, but doesnt rage give you advantage on str checs/saving throws... and because athletics is a str skill, shouldnt you usually have advantage on the athletics checks (or at least that is how i do it in home games), if im right how would you handel this with the passive rolls??? or doesnt it have influence
