A roll of 13 is a human. If you keep human, you gain 20 bonus XP. If you want to be something different, you can choose, but you will not gain any XP.

Assuming you are going with human, a roll of 7 is A class Academic, career priest. If you accept this, you gain an additional 50 bonus XP. Let me know if you accept it or not before we proceed.

Yes, I accept it!

Before picking out what deity you want to serve, the next thing that we need is to get your characteristics picked out.

They are Weapon Skill, Ballistic Skill, Strength, Toghness, Initiative, Agility, Dexterity, Intelligence, Willpower, and Fellowship. In order to get three values, you roll 2d10+20 for each down the line.
May 18, 2025 5:53 pm
Just waiting on you
May 19, 2025 12:47 pm

Rolls

(210) + 20 = 32

Ok, if you accept these, you get 50 bonus XP. If you don’t, you can switch some of them around and get only 25 bonus XP. Or you can point guy, and not get a bonus.

What god or goddess do you want to be a priest of?
May 19, 2025 1:41 pm
I accept the rolls.

I will go for Shallya, I guess it is at the same time challenging and useful... :)

Awesome! So, as a human, you are Doomed (Wounded, shaken, and afraid, shalt thou meet thine end!!!) and you get to pick between Savvy (+5 to starting Intelligence), or Suave (+5 to starting Fellowship). You also must roll a d100 3 times in order to get 3 random talents.
May 19, 2025 4:58 pm
I will pick Suave, to double down on Fellowship, I think it fits a Shallya priest well. If the sentence in parenthesis is my 'Dooming' description, I am good with it.

The random talent rolls are below.

Rolls

Random talents - (1d100, 1d100, 1d100)

1d100 : (44) = 44

1d100 : (85) = 85

1d100 : (47) = 47

Reroll the 85, please, it was Suave again and you can only take that once. Other than that, you have Mimic (it’s easier for you to mimic the voices of others after hearing them), and Night Vision (you can see well in dim or dark light).

Yes, the parenthesis was my Dooming for you.

Roll for a new talent below!

Are there any usable GP character sheet for WHFRP 4e yet?

Orientation: you have a strong sense of direction and can always find true north. There was one, but it unfortunately got taken down for being unofficial. Damn shame, it was beautiful. You can find some online, maybe?

I am talking about a Gamers Plane sheet, as recorded in this thread. There are a couple for WHFRP 1e / 2e but none for 4e it seems. Would it be a lot of work to adapt them to the newer edition?

I have one in my thread.

Apologies I am new to this platform.

22 years old, 5’ 11" (an absolute giant of a man in the Reikland), and pale grey eyes. You can roll for hair color too.
May 20, 2025 3:42 pm
Given the picture I picked for my character, I went for golden blond for the hair color to match.

Sounds good. As a priest, you get 5 Advances for your three starting career characteristics, and 40 advances among your 8 starting career skills. Would you like me to list them?

Also, you get a free talent from the list. Would you like me to list it here?
May 21, 2025 8:48 am
Well, I went ahead and computed all skill values based on the rule book, and also took the time to put everything in the (very good) character sheet made by cowleyc (with a few adjustments). I also included my trappings.

Some additional rolls below.

Rolls

sheets of parchment - (1d10)

(3) = 3

brass pennies - (4d10)

(951010) = 34

So I submitted my character, Artur Dünn, priest of Shallya. It should be pretty complete, but there are a few things I would like to discuss:
1/ Permission to trade my dagger for a staff, which would be more appropriate for a priest
2/ We still have to discuss about motivation
3/ I computed Artur has 100XP, maybe I'm wrong, but in any case how am I supposed to use these points?
May 21, 2025 11:32 am
You have 120 points from character creation. You can spend them to purchase advances and/or talents. Each advances equals a 1% increase to your current characteristic or skill in said skill or characteristic. The book should list costs, each talent, the first rank in a talent is 100XP, if the talent has multiple ranks, each additional rank is another hundred XP, and so on.

A dagger is as much a tool as a weapon, it’s used for eating, cutting strips of cloth into bandages, everything. I will allow you to find a suitable wooden walking stick that can count as a quarterstaff on your journey along the Emperor’s road, if you wish, though.

OK, I spotted the advancement table. I chose to use 110 XP to add 1 Advance point to Artur's Perception. Taken into account your answer about the staff, I believe I am pretty much done on my side.
