Sounds super familiar. But I'm drawing a blank. Which book?

Pathfinder Core. This is the FAQ from the Paizo Forums explaining it:
Quote:
According to Table: Character Advancement and Level-Dependent Bonuses, a character gains an ability score increase at level 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20. How much is this increase? What ability scores does it affect?

At 4th level, a character can increase one ability score by +1. This is a typeless, nonmagical bonus that cannot be changed once selected.

For example, a fighter with Dex 13 could use this bonus to increase his Dex to 14.

A character can also increase one ability score at 8th, 12th, 16th, and 20th level; it does not have to be the same ability score as the one chosen at an earlier level, and stacks with all other bonuses.

For example, the aforementioned fighter could use the 8th-level bonus to increase his Strength from 15 to 16, then use his 12th-level bonus to increase his Dex from 14 to 15, and so on.

Noo, paths of power. I read that like yesterday. But I don't remember which book it's in.

I'm not sure what you are saying?

I saw it in a book yesterday that I was converting. I googled it. I can't find a Pathfinder reference for it, outside of a 3rd party resource I've never heard of. There was a little system in 3.5 called paths of power that came out in one of their monthly publications, but I'm not familiar with that either. Sooo... I don't know what you're referring to when you say "Paths of Power."

...the Paths of Power in Midnight...

Like Ùlfr is Giantkin or whatever. Gets +1s to str eventually. The thing i was referencing was from Pathfinder Core.

Heroic Paths?

Saw the edit, okay yes. No, that's on top of your normal progression.

With the cold weather being here, Azote ponders the thoughts of what she can trade to obtain nice winter gear next time such is offered. Her 10gp of treated Leather might be enough.

Cool scene!
Busy day, but I’ll get back into regular posting mode for Seelah tomorrow.

Very cool scene, and sword!

Thanks, I was hoping this one would turn out well. You guys circumvented the horror part of the encounter with solid skill check results.

Will be progressing the scene this afternoon.

PSA from private threads:
Be prepared to start leveling pretty quickly. For example, this scene was supposed to include an encounter with, essentially a haunt, due to SOME members of the party essentially being a skill monkey, it went much faster than anticipated.

I generally try to play things by the book, I'll make a windage call if something isn't working or something doesn't make sense, but I'm not gonna try to shoe horn in extra content to pad out the run time. So, the end result of that is sometimes the time between levels isn't going to feel very naturally spaced.

Couple that with the fact that I effed up the math from start to end, we're gonna be playing a bit of catch up.

I can allow more time for PCs to interact with each other in situations like this, but without an active NPC in the scene I can't do much except add scene detall or narrative details.

I don't have much experiencing GMing, as we move to different types of scenes and encounters, I may not handle things exactly perfectly.

Just a heads up for things moving forward, expect to level quickly, expect some jank on my end as im learning. But, I will do my best to deliver what I consider quality content.

If anyone has an issue with any of the above, I'm open to ideas.

Thanks for your participation, feedback and patience.

Hope you're all still enjoying it.

This is a great game, great players, great GM, very engaging. I’ll never complain about a fast leveling game, esp in PbP.

Enjoying our game very much! :)

I'm loving this game. I'm sorry my last two posts were so rushed tbh. I'm both surprised and ecstatic that as a party we just murdered a bunch of survival checks though. Jeez.

Welp... probably shoulda brought some furs

Really my next post will be, "Úlfr goes back to the relative safety of the tower. Makes a fire. Hunts small game for several days. Makes fur clothes for several days, then finally sets off..." because there is no way he'd brave a storm like that without appropriate clothing.

(And that's coming from the dude with a really good bonus to those saves.)

(Curiosity)
Varin has improved Healing.
[ +- ] Improved Healing (2HP/hr)
If he takes 1-2 points of cold damage during the walk, would he just heal it back.
If he take 6 points at once it would be healed by the end of the walk.

I am going to roll but I want to double check.

8 rolls. DC 15+1 per Each hour.
So DC is
Hour DC
1 15
2 16
3 17
4 18
5 19
6 20
7 21
8 22

Going to roll all of mine in order. Than figure out dmg afterwards

He also literally has the skills to fix the issue. VPs kinda made it hard plan though. But i guess if the tower collapses, you won't have to worry about Úlfr falling behind. No more Úlfr.

I suppose you could, would just make this entire chapter pretty boring, but I mean it would be in line with defanging the encounters, as you guys seem to be pretty good at. And it's still gonna be cold, just not windy. The cold will still be there.
+ Your not on an exact timeline, but you are supposed to meet someone at the giants teeth.
