Woot. That last non-lethal damage has a short life expectancy. Azote needs to trade better and get the heated winter clothing.

Keep in mind, outside of direct healing abilities, you do not recover from cold damage until out of the cold.

In conditions of severe cold or exposure (below 0° F), an unprotected character must make a Fortitude save once every 10 minutes (DC 15, +1 per previous check), taking 1d6 points of nonlethal damage on each failed save. A character who has the Survival skill may receive a bonus on this saving throw and might be able to apply this bonus to other characters as well. Characters wearing a cold weather outfit only need check once per hour for cold and exposure damage.

Ah. Do tell me about this unknown Survival Skill bonus? Azote has +2 on fortitude but +11 on her survival checks (Rank 4).

It was mentioned that stuffing your clothes with added amounts was a +2. Would wrapping in her oversized bedroll be the same?

Using appropriate skill based precautions normally portions a +2 circumstance bonus or so, but it's really up to the GM.
If this is severe/extreme cold, then I'll need to make 6 times the saves. In which case, he would have actually turned back as I suggested before. That's too cold to go without proper clothing.

It's not extreme cold, I took the survival checks at the beginning and applied them to everyone. Circumstance bonuses from the same source don't stack. So, you get a circumstance bonus from clothing and a circumstance bonus from survival, but you don't get two from survival. Everyone should have been applying (at minimum) the +2 from the cloths Varin supplied and I applied the +2 from survival before I rolled for damage, hence Varin took one less damage die from cold.

LOL. Next time I'm ready. This is assuming of course we are moving half rate through the snow. and that is no including an extra +2 if wrapping the bedroll adds. The added +2 is from being proficient in Survival skill.

DC 15 Good
1d20+2 : (19) + 2 = 21 is 23. Can give +8 to someone.
DC 16 Fail
1d20+2 : (1) + 2 = 3 is 5
DC 17 Fail
1d20+2 : (9) + 2 = 11 is 13
DC 18 Fail
1d20+2 : (2) + 2 = 4 is 6
DC19 Pass
1d20+2 : (16) + 2 = 18 is 20. Can give +5 to someone else.
DC20 Pass
1d20+2 : (18) + 2 = 20 is 22. Can give+7 to someone else.
DC21 Fail
1d20+2 : (7) + 2 = 9 is 11
DC22 Fail
1d20+2 : (12) + 2 = 14 is 16. Can give +1 to someone else.

The extra +2 from the bedroll would not change the results (Nasty dice). And I have 5 fails still. LOL. Only difference is I can give a lot +'s to others.

Fair enough. The Dorn racial bonus really helped obvi.

You should have been adding +6 total. +2 from your fort save, +2 from the cloths, +2 from survival. Everyone is getting the last two. There's only one bonus from survival. The results don't change. I don't think anyone has said they're using the Fetherroot yet, you can turn one of those into a pass, the third one, using that. As it grants an additional +2.

My net is slow... LOL ... So, she should have had +4 (+2 from fort save & +2 from survival skill) How do you handle the Sharing if you roll over 15?

Net is still slow. .LOL +6 :) Which still would not change the results. Still fail 5 times unless sharing changes that.

There's still the Fetherroot, that'd bring you back to 0 nonlethal. It'd bring your saves to +8.

If anyone has a problem with their placement, I can move them. I put Varin in the back. Before you said you'd be defending the rear, can change for the specific encounter though.

You're no where near civilization, for spellcasting purposes. Always a risk, but outside the errant patrol, this is about as safe as it gets.
