There is a specific flower or plant that has value to the faeries from your home town that has become extinct in the natural world. The plant however was preserved by the druidic researchers. Since it is endangered and rare, it is highly protected by those researchers but Daedale (through his father's connections) has access to it and will provide it to Talin when it is asked for.

Admittedly, it was borne in a moment of anger and frustration when I was younger and more prone to losing my bearing. While it may have been intended as a derogatory epithet in the moment, it has blossomed into very much a term of endearment since.

I never wanted the position that came with my lineage. I saw it as an obligation that was nothing more than a burden. In time I grew to accept it, and became another knight in a long line of knights, but you remember a time I fought against the very idea.

Tier 1 full plate is a significant trade off. You'll get hit more frequently but take damage less often. It's also a -1 to all Agility rolls, which could be a big issue. It's not the tank suit it is in 5e.

The SRD says you can pick a one handed primary and a secondary, OR a two handed primary.
But I guess not a two handed primary and a secondary?

The game prioritizes narrative over money management. If you don't feel like it's appropriate to have the plate, don't take it, but it's allowed. There are several abilities in the game that break inventory management too, so it's best not to think about that part too hard.

[Goliath]: The fear that I won't be able to avenge my community; after all if the whole community without me couldn't have stopped whatever it was, what chance do I have on my own, or even with the help of you guys? Would asking you to help just end up killing you lot as well? Are we prepared enough? The greater fear though, is that I'll never find out what caused the catastrophe.

You are one of the few biggies who doesn't treat me like I'm a nuisance or worse still an opportunistic thief. Her people do not have the best reputation among the tall folk and you've never once not treated her as an equal.

My father was an academic of the highest esteem. You are a noble/knight of some kind. Maybe we have each other growing up, either my father being invited to a place where you as a noble/knight were training or lived. We were young kids, forced to "sit at the kiddie table" together while our families discussed the real important matters at hand.
I would say we could have been close and friends but I think our interests were so different it was more us being forced to interact in social awkward moments we tolerated each other and maybe at times we didn't.
This could tie into the nickname as well, you called me Spore quiet literally because when you met me I was nothing but a Spore, and I stayed small while you grew tall.
