Session Zero

I do like the ideas, which is why i'm trying to understand them better. It's less theory-crafting for me and more collaborative character/game/setting creation, where we narrow things from general concepts down, so both you and i can understand who this character is. The books give a lot of ambiguous concepts so i was trying to understand how the character sees and interprets them, and you through them. It would be rather hard to lean on abstract ideas to produce specific effects, which is where belief comes in.

I do have to admit that the vibe is not really there. Between our baker mage who hasn't checking in in a few days, eldarin, who, if i understood correctly has decided to drop out, bringing our total number of vampires to 0 and us having maaaaybe slightly different ideas on Mage (which is on me for not defining expectations for other splats more clearly like for Vampire), i think it's time for a curtain call. No other folk applied, so there is no one else. Maybe i'll try reworking this into something better or just stick with more defined scenarios. Big trunk for infinite branches rather than a field of open-world grass, so to speak. There is a M20 IC thread around, so do post there, for your idea is generally good and HG deserves to get to open some peculiar doors. Maybe Dash will also find a new home somewhere.

I think I've had experiences where "interrogating the fiction" too much in Mage is used to limit the power of the Mages.

That aspect of it is not fun, for me. For me Mage should be about exercising creativity.

But sounds like I was more projecting an insecurity onto the conversation that was being had.
