Murasaki follows Chun-Li into The Break Room, it’s not a little room with chairs and a coffee machine. It looks like a parking garage, except there’s no chance those rusty old cars and motorcycles will ever run again.
Judging by the muscular women, this is where the competition is. Blaze and Marian both introduce themselves. Marian says, "I get the feeling you and Blaze’ll be tough competitors for the silver. I’ve seen Chun-Li completely destroy an SUV in 5 seconds."
Chun-Li says, "If we all stand still, kick one car, I win. But this will not be so easy for me. There are many vehicles to destroy. With strategy and luck, I can be beaten. Besides… who says I am best? Maybe I struggle with you two for silver while Shifu breaks everything."

"Do not sell yourselves short. Any one of you may claim the gold." Murasaki starts to get her stretches in. "However, that's not to say it will be easy. I have fifteen years of pent-up aggression to unleash," she jokes.
Once she finishes her warm-up, Murasaki channels her ki throughout her body, concentrating an explosive amount of it within her heart. She builds the ki until it reaches a breaking point, empowering her body and sending the sensation of fire coursing through her veins. An aura like violet fire emanates from Murasaki.

There are rows of motorcycles along each wall. As Murasaki draws in her ki, the starting gun sounds off—and for a brief moment, Murasaki’s heart of burning passion triggers an adrenaline surge!
She sees Chun-Li pivot right—toward the motorcycles along the East wall. Blaze also pivots right—toward the motorcycles along the south wall that Chun-Li chose to ignore. Marian pivots left—and immediately regrets it!
Chun-Li bursts forward with her Shichisei Senkuu Kyaku!"Oh fuck! That Seven Star Flashing Air Leg, or whatever Google-Translate calls it!" Marian yelps as the street-fighting champ sails effortlessly through the row of bikes. A dozen flaming tires arc through the air, and upon landing, her kick demolishes a seventh bike, leaving it embedded in the ground!
Marian realizes what a costly mistake it would be to attack the other side of Chun-Li’s row. Both would end up with lower scores. She recovers precious seconds with a back-kick-double-axe combo along the North wall.
Blaze’s flying knee bash takes out a few motorcycles on the South wall, meaning Murasaki has a row of 20 motorcycles all to herself along the West wall. Or she could attack the North wall, sharing Marian’s row.

Since you have Jump’n’Bump, you can use 🕹️, ㊙️ or ☢️ to attack motorcycles. You already used one of your two actions this round. But you used it well! Since you’re not in any danger of getting hit, you will inflict Double Damage for the entire competition!BONUS: Because you combo’d on the Custom Magic, you can give one competitor of your choice a Heart of Burning Passion in ANY round of this competition! If you decide to do that, it won’t require another roll and it won’t use an action. If you think there’s an advantage to making another competitor’s attacks stronger, you may do so.

Great! Is that COMBO effect added to the Custom Magic snippet? When I first bought it, I could only HIT or MISS so I wrote it with that in mind.Deciding not to repeat Marian's mistake, Murasaki gets to work on the motorcycles along the west wall!

Murasaki’s attack fails to destroy a single bike! The bounce causes her to stagger back into a motorcycle along the North Wall. That bike tips toward another, leaning against it. (And Murasaki can’t help but notice a Domino’s Pizza Delivery compartment on this bike.)
She also catches Chun-Li’s next move: she blasts a kikouken at the last bike on the South Wall. It bursts and topples the bike next to hit. (Chun-Li then gets back to kicking bikes on her own wall.)
This means that Chun-Li will likely end up with 22 bikes busted, whereas the best Blaze can hope for is 18. She’s too far along to double back and smash bikes on your row.

Murasaki sees that she's falling behind considerably. However, she stays calm and sticks to her row.
She jumps against the northern wall and springs off it, launching a drill kick towards the west row of motorcycles! Keeping up the momentum, she tries to follow up with a combo that carries her forward, fists aflame with ki.

I’m going to handwave rolling rounds 3 and 4, using these rolls as your "rate" of 8 bikes per round vs. Chun-Li’s 7! At this rate, you both complete your row on your first action of Round 4.As she destroys her 20th motorcycle, Chun-Li has destroyed her 22nd.
There are still bikes on the north and south walls—Murasaki can shoot a projectile at Blaze’s bikes or use her Jump’n’Bump to get to the last bikes on the north wall before Marian does.

The remaining bikes along either wall are at similar distances—a direct path north or a curved path to get around Blaze to destroy the bikes on the south wall. She is on the opposite corner as you, effectively with the same option!

Murasaki weighs her options. Since Chun-Li had destroyed the last two bikes on the south row earlier with her kikoken, there wouldn't be enough bikes left there to close the gap in score. So, she decides to go for Marian's remaining bikes along the northern wall

This contest would have been completely impossible without Heart of Burning Passion. Even with a perfect roll, that’s 6💥 vs. Chun-Li’s 7💥.
Chun-Li’s stats are 🕹️x4, ㊙️x3, ☢️x2. She flips tails every time. She was meant to be unbeatable if you didn’t use your magic; hard to beat if you did. I mean… she’s really good at breaking vehicles.
(Honestly, that video was slow for Chun-Li. She can finish that SUV in 5 seconds if she opens with the Ex Lightning Kick. But I digress…)
You also ended up with Chun-Li at the maximum difficulty.
I had coin tosses that would have nerfed her. The first coin would have had both Marian and Blaze move toward Chun-Li, which would have made it possible for you to win with average rolls. With Chun-Li getting her row of bikes to herself, you needed above-average rolls with double damage.
I decided that once your rolls were above average, Murasaki would settle into a rhythm, because having to roll to maintain that rate made losing almost certain.
Had you gone after Blaze’s bikes, Chun-Li would have started this round with a 26-24 lead. It’s the difference between an inevitable victory and an improbable one.
In short, this was a nearly-impossible contest and you played the Shifu well, so congrats!

Acting quickly, Murasaki flips off the roof of her truck, landing on the side opposite of Blaze. She strikes hard and fast, stringing punches and kicks into each other with skill and grace. Though Blaze gives a good effort, Murasaki's side of the trailer truck is falling apart much faster, warping from both the force and ki-fueled heat of every hit.
Faster! Stronger!! She demands more and more of her body until violet afterimages follow her every move. She throws a powerful back thrust kick that causes the truck's tires to fly off. The hood bursts open and the engine starts to smoke. Chun-Li and Marian's truck had suffered a similar level of damage, so Murasaki channels everything she has into one final move to secure victory.

She brings her hands together, compressing an incredible amount of ki between them. When she thrusts them forth, a swirling mass of purple energy expands outward, catching much of the trailer truck and even herself within it, though she is apparently unaffected. The vortex-like motion of the energy tears apart the remains of the vehicle, leaving behind only flames and scattering pieces of scrap as the technique ends in a blinding burst, launching away everything that'd been unlucky enough to be caught in it.
Barely a second later, Murasaki hears Chun-Li's truck exploding behind her. It was incredibly close. The aura around Murasaki's body dissipates, her burst of fiery passion and fighting spirit spent. Any lingering stiffness from being defrosted is gone, and in its place is pride, both in herself and for these Bombshells.
"Incredible... Well played, Chun-Li. I believe you are already a master in your own right." She smiles at the Chinese martial artist, then turns her attention to Blaze and Marian. "You two are well on your way too. Your already formidable styles will flourish into something truly one of a kind with time and effort."

Glad you enjoyed it. Chun-Li was unbeatable in the break car games, and if there’s an ultimate video game woman, I think most opinions would lean toward Chun-Li or Samus Aran. To pit you against either means you’re taking on someone stronger than the End Boss.
I wasn’t sure how you would feel about the "rhythm." But I really didn’t want dice luck to be the ultimate deciding factor. You had to choose to give up an action to give yourself double damage. (I hoped you’d think of that since I convinced myself to hint at it would have been cheating!)
My reason for the rhythm mechanic was to make your choices matter more than your luck.. though luck mattered in the sense you’d need to beat Chun-Li’s rate in an early round. If you didn’t roll two combos in the second round, you would have needed two combos in the third with at least one being a super. By the fourth round, you’d have been fighting for second.
Blaze and Marian basically smashed whatever you and Chun-Li didn’t. Giving Marian a heart of burning passion would have given her +2💥 and Chun-Li -2💥 in rounds in which they attacked the same targets. (Giving Blaze the heart would have worked against you in the truck round!)
Anyway, this whole competition round is me being experimental. I hoped it would be something light and fun before we move to a last mission…

Four teenage girls enter the room. A redhead in a school uniform places a gold medal around your neck, then joins her friend as they compliment Marian for her good try.
Marian is a good sport about the whole thing, and she’s too impressed by you and Chun-Li for her pride to be bruised. "I’m lucky I even did half as good as them!"
A girl with a guitar strapped to her back hands Blaze the bronze.
"You placed! That’s something, ain’t it?"
Chun-Li introduces the girl who awarded her the silver.
"This is Li-Fen, my daughter." Adopted, you may have guessed. Chun-Li was never interested in romance, despite rumors about her and Ryu (and other rumors about her and Cammy White), but she would never use the word ‘adopted’ to clarify this.
Li-Fen bows to you and is clearly impressed, "I always wondered who taught my mom her secret moves. Thank you, Shifu!"
Chun-Li echoes her daughter’s gratitude. "Yes… thank you again, Shifu. I feel like I learned from this experience."

Interesting, I didn't think the extra HoBP could be useful like that. It just sounded like an exclusively bad idea to enhance another competitor. Anyways, Chun-Li was my other choice for Stage 3's guest star, so I'm glad she showed up here. The River City Girls and Streets of Rage cameos were also appreciated.
Perhaps I should consider taking on a pupil at some point... A true successor to carry all ten thousand Secret Moves.
She wasn't going to be around forever. Sure, with the power of ki and a strict regimen, she would live to an advanced age and remain capable like any old master worth their salt, but one day, she would pass on, and many moves would possibly die with her.
The thought of that is unacceptable to her. Even if she can't find a successor, she is going to teach as many students as possible.
She stuck around for a while to chat with everyone, but eventually, she excused herself. "Apologies, I must be off. I will not be able to catch much of the other competitions if I stay much longer." Murasaki bowed and turned to leave, the gold medal resting heavily on her chest.
