So, from the Crimson Crusade, it appears we are down two one in attendance(Naatkinson) and szemely is a no show.

In Search for the Old ways we have Jabes, Moofsalot and Naatkinson, Whipstache, MIA is Tookie.

In Darkness Rising we have Dramasailor, Sclasclemski and MIA is Genisisect

Sent P.m. to MIAs and will give them until Friday, sorry it appears people have dropped/ lost interest.

Ah, but one can intentionally not metagame, which is different from not intentionally metagaming. ;)
OOC:
Intentionally not metagaming is a form of metagaming, too!

Example: Monster A has a weakness to fire. Having DMed this monster numerous times, I know this, but my character may not. Not wanting to metagame, I avoid fire spells so as to not cheat. My attempt to not metagame has led me to change my character's actions, even though my first instinct may really have been to attack it with fire.

This, too, is a form of metagaming. Meta knowledge has changed the actions of my character, though in the direction that is the opposite of what you'd normally expect.
I agree, that does happen. Although, I'd call it Also Metagaming. Intentionally not metagaming is not letting any out-of-character knowledge influence the character's decision, for better or worse. I think the intentional is important as a qualifier to remind people (myself most of all) to be aware of the factors that go into a player making a decision for a character.

"What would my character do in this situation?" is all that needs to be asked. No more, no less. But just some vague hope that metagaming isn't going to happen doesn't really work, as was pointed out. A lot of metagaming is unintentional. :)

Play your character true and follow what you/he/she has done in the past.

Generally a character has only a few Attack options anyway unless you are a spellcasdter. If you attack a certain way and notice it’s not effective the. You try something else.

But if you're seeing the rolls you are then able to tell whether your spell didn't take because the target is particularly resistant to that type of spell or if it was just a really high roll on the save.

I trust everyone here is aiming to tell a good story rather than outdo each other, but I still think it helps rather than harm if you hide your dice.

I had forgotten that I had already taken damage that fight, so that puts me on -18 after that hit which is more then half my max hp. Hence I die outright from that hit. I’ll stick around for a little bit but if I’m dead and this thread is moving so slowly there is little opportunity that I’ll need to do anything any time soon...

You die only when you take your full HP in damage in one hit beyond 0 :-)
