Didn't look like we had a dedicated OOC thread yet, so here it is!

Dramasailor, how many random tables did you make for this game, and did you make them all yourself? Also, can I have them? This seems like it could be a fun thing to run sometime if I ever have a chance!

All I have finalized so far is the character creation. I will definitely pass over the stuff when it finishes.

At the moment it feels like we've been assembled at a support group. Perhaps to deal with all of our personality and trust issues?

Plot twist. The baron is actually just a psychotherapist that gathers all the emotionally damaged people in the land for a giant experiment.

Man I am glad I checked my dudes random traits and stuff before I reacted. I woulda missed an opportunity.

HAHA, this group is a train wreck, Yahvitz is going to regret taking part in this meeting.

It's going to be glorious. Yahvitz already has a bit of a Hedonismbot feeling in my head. This assemblage will send him into a tizzy.

Plot twist 2: Yahvitz is actually putting us on the equivalent of a reality tv show and we all have to live under one roof until we get along. (Spoiler: We all die there.)

Yeah, this parties dynamic gets worse and worse by the second and I'm absolutely loving it. Now the two "civilized" people are at each others throats just because Orseas introduced himself as 'a servant of light'. Rolen, being a warlock, felt it would've been offense or something to touch him, so he respectfully declined. If the introduction was just 'Hey, I'm Orseas, nice to meet you.' or something Rolen would of shook his hand.

It wouldn't have mattered. The smallest stupid thing would set him off. He was a ticking time bomb.

Besides, a baseless rivalry will surely be quite fun.

Gaggle of cats comes to mind. This game is the purest example of a Chaotic Neutral entity I've ever seen.

I want Catriona to tame the wolf. How might I make that happen? She doesn't have Animal Friendship prepared today. And I'm not sure how effective that would be, given that the group has attacked the wolf. But I want her to try when the wolf wakes up.

I don't think so. Other charm effects specify that they become aware, this one doesn't

If you're fast asleep are you affected by charm effects?

I have no idea. As far as I know it doesn't say that anywhere.

I'm torn on this. I've been digging around looking for confirmation one way or the other.

As a rule, I treat sleeping individuals as having the Unconscious condition which makes them auto-fail dex/str saves. Also makes attacks against them have advantage and such. That doesn't appear to offer any specific protections or weaknesses to Charm, nor does the Incapacitated condition, which Unconscious automatically imposes.

I would think, per RAW, yes even asleep you are susceptible. If you would prefer, Cosmic, we could rule that this item RAI requires the target creature to be conscious at the time they are meant to be charmed. I leave it to you.

When this came up I went and checked the description of Charm Person: "You attempt to charm a humanoid you can see within range" which I found a but surprising. I always thought the target had to see you for you to charm them but now I see I was mistaken. So yeah by that logic I guess a sleeping creature wouldn't be auto-immune.

I did the same thing Jabes. On the face, a lot of the charm person stuff doesn't make sense if the Charm-ee can't see the Charm-er

I'll say the charm efffect doesn't work if they're unconscious.

Okay that brings up trance, it states I remain semiconscious. I deleted my roll post because I thought it wouldn't be needed but I remembered trance if I am affected my highest roll was 10.

I think I'm going to include that in the Nope portion. The other thing I hadn't over-much considered, most of you would be sleeping IN something, I would imagine. Especially Rolen it seems like. If you're in a tent or in the little cave, Krieger couldn't see you anyway, so you'd be immune from that end.

Rolen has been reinforcing (for good and for bad) her aristocratic upbringing. The two Aarakocra and even Xavena have been bringing out the wilder side innate in her orc blood. Ada's outburst of compassion has not been as influential as her tantrums.

By the end of this, we're all going to be psychopaths in our own padded rooms.

It's just leather armor (11 + dex) with the Mariner's attribute: While wearing this armor, you have a swimming speed equal to your walking speed. In addition, whenever you start your turn underwater with 0 hit points, the armor causes you to rise 60 feet toward the surface. The armor is decorated with fish and shell motifs.

It gives you no upgrade to your AC but let's you swim fast, I guess. I don't need it anymore because I rolled monk and got unarmored defense.

I have FINALLY started doing the job that I got promoted to before. Previous to this, it's all been slow-paced training and being a mentor to new people. I am FAR busier now than before, so my posting will decrease a massive amount :(

I will do my best to keep up with the games that I am in, but please be understanding if I am a bit slow!

Hi everyone! First of all I'd like to apologize for my extended absence. I'm back with some sad news (sad for me anyhow).

The day I was hoping would never come has arrived: Due to recent changes in my life (some good, others not so much) I am going to be forced to drastically cut back on my game involvement. Though that does not at present include withdrawing from this game (which I love) I'm really just playing it by ear. If I find that I still can't handle the reduced game commitment then more sacrifices might need to be made.

I want to take this opportunity to thank @Dramasailor for running a fun game and everyone else for some of the most memorable RP moments in my years of gaming! You guys rock!

Thanks Jabes! Let me know if there's anything I can do to make the game inclusion easier on you if it gets to the point of further tough decisions. :)

Going on vacation from April 18th to April 26th. Prep will be going on beforehand, and then rest and unpacking when I get back, so I probably won't be consistent from now until the 30th or so!

Hey all, I know I've not driven this one nearly enough. I'm loathe to shut down any game, but if it makes sense (and I know we all have the "holy crap so many games" syndrome), we could certainly wind this one down. If we want to keep going, I'm good there too, just need to decide how we want to proceed.

Either way would be fine with me. I've had fun with this game, but if you'd rather move on from it, that's fine too

I'd love to keep going here. I'm okay with the slow pace. That said, I wouldn't hold it against you if you feel like you need to shut it down.

Echoing the same as the above three, also apologizing as I have no clue how the new post flew under my radar. There was a good week I was constantly refreshing GP thinking 'must be a dry spell'. Maybe I should quit relying solely on the latest post page. Any case, I still enjoy the game, despite a slower pace or not.

Hells, that makes 4 our of the 5 of you, let's keep this crazy thing running. :) After all, the band is back together, and you have the weird ass stick. Now to make the multi-day trek back to wherever the old man was to figure out what the hell to do next!

Hey all! Out of the depths of absence I rise!

Trying to decide what to do with this game. Do we want to try picking it back off, dusting off its shoulders, and going forward? Or would you all prefer I just sunset this game?

If we sunset the game, would you all want me to start up another game (5e, or something else) for you to all jump into? Or just take it off everyone's plate entirely.

I am okay with continuing. Of course, should it be decided that we move on, I am perfectly happy to start up a new character or even transfer the character to a different game. I'd prefer to stick with 5e, though.

Everyone here, I'll be closing this one down in a few days.

However, I will be starting a new game up as a replacement (I was thinking of running Infernal Machine Rebuild, a level 5 adventure from Extra Life). Anyone here that would like it will have an invite, so I wanted to get an idea here first before opening the game so I can set those invites up from the beginning.
