Character Creation

I am focusing on shapeshifting initially as my Druid, and accordingly will be kind of a "Heavy" too. (Unfortunately?) that was where the most synergy lay.

A heavier focus on combat was a stated design goal in the book, for better or worse.

Hey, What is our starting obligation and can we increase it? I've played in games where the GM put a lid on that before.

Obligation 10, and you can increase it up to 10. But if everyone does, you will have 100 obligation and sure to activate often.

Query: how many career skills do you get? in EOTE it's usually 3 career skills and 2 spec skills, IIRC -- is it the same here?

Its actually 4 career and 2 spec ranks. Thats what this one uses too according to the character creator.

Is there a post chargen pocket money roll like in EotE? Didn't remember reading about one but don't have access to he PDF atm...

I don't think it says so in the book, but yes, since it doesn't say there shouldn't be, I am ruling in favor of it.

All -- I keep trying to get a character finished only to get trolled by work or life (and making sure my existing obligations here on GP are in good shape). I may need to bow out, especially as I'm hitting another 3 days of work travel this week.

I'm willing to introduce your character whenever your ready, but if you feel you have overextended yourself and it is a bother, I could open it up for someone else.

Hey there -- I'm going to drop out. I'm swamped @ home and @ work and have vacation coming up -- so I'm over-extended enough that I need to step away. Sorry 'bout that! I was intrigued about the system and will certainly be interested in an update after y'all have had some time with it!

Also sorry to the rest of you for not updating yet this week. Work has been crazy this week. We have started a big new project that means overtime and less slack time while at work. Hopefully it will calm down soon.
