So, just to recap. There's a guy with a real life flaming sword striking doom into the heart of goblinkind. There's a quite possibly half-insane half-orc running around hitting people with a huge ax and laughing like a maniac. There's a gnome who literally sings goblins to death. Speaking of half-orcs, the other one is just standing here next to me. This is our group people and I am loving this game. I'm just sitting on the Dock of the Bay, waiting for the goblins to attack and ready to heal like your health bars are rolling away.
OOC:
Otis Redding. Pour some out for the man today.

OOC:
You are very into this game, Starkiller :) I agree though, I think we have a great group here and I'm personally hoping that we have a good long run with this system. We have a really good GM. Should be a good campaign and hopefully get a lot of run.

The goblin warchanter is hit hard by the bolt, sending him flying through one of the wheels of the cart he’s using as leverage. With the wheel now missing, part of the cart falls down right on top of the body.

The goblin dog looks like a cornered animal all of a sudden. With nowhere to escape to, it lashes out at Butler. Butler dodges it’s clumsy attack easily, getting in an advantageous position.

The group of minions on the ground has started to figure out what’s going on and hesitates for a moment before ganging up on Darakar. Though their attacks are like bites to the big brute, they’re an annoying distraction.

The goblins on the roof takes something out of their pockets, and lights it on fire with their torches. Throwing whatever they are holding with their slings at Aerys, you can see as they land that it’s some crude bomb that explodes.

One of the bombs ends up in a cart filled with Dwarven spirits, and the resulting fireball would be impressive from a greater distance. In mere moments the grass between Aerys and the two close combatants catches fire, seperating the two groups. Moving forward would be dangerous.
OOC:
Spending the 2 threat from the Goblin Dog to give Butler a Blue on his next action.

Group 1 fails, but they give Darakar a Black to his next check, as well as giving a Blue to Minion Group 2’s next check (added retroactively, though it couldn’t have done much in any case.

Group 2 actually succeeds, seems the system here don’t account for the fact that a Triumph counts as 1 success as well as doing something awesome (though this was fixed a while back). That means they have 3 successes - 1 Failure. First off Aerys takes 7 damage.

They spend 1 Triumph creating a wall of fire between the frontal assault and the back support. In addition, they crit Aerys.with their second Triumph. He receives a Sudden Jolt, dropping whatever he’s holding in his hand. Not the most devastating, but still counts as a crit in case of more crits.

Using Regenerate on Aery: Cost 3 Strain. Average Spirit check. Heal target character at Short range for 2 Wounds per rounds equal to successes.

Edit: Using 2 advantage to recover strain. (I forgot to add the purple dice before)

Using Triumph to upgrade Aery's ranged defense +1 till end of next turn.

Butler dodges to the side of the snapping teeth of the goblin dog, bringing his flaming sword round in a vicious arc at the beast head whilst planting his shield firmly between himself and his enemies.
OOC:
Spending 2 strain to activate Shield wall (all attacks against Butler have their difficulty upgraded by one for the next round)

7 damage to the dog this round, 6 next from burn, will spend my advantages to crit the bugger....could have been better lol

As the commander fell and the fireball erupted behind him, Darakar turned to assess the situation. Several goblins fell upon him as his eyes caught sight of the ones up on the rooftop. A few blades nicked his skin as he considered the possibility of climbing up to the rooftop, causing him to turn some of his attention to those goblins in front of him.

Smirking, Darakar hefted his ax and swung through the mass of bodies in front of him while bellowing out a war cry, "TANVE OTTAID YTAV KEMTTAD?"
OOC:
If there's anything that this game is helping me do it's formulate the language from Darakar's part of my setting.

Moving up to medium range (since the fire seems to be between the frontline guys and Aery) but off to the side of Aery. Shooting at the Goblins on the roof since they are not engaged with allies yet.

11 damage. Using 2A to activate Linked quality on repeating crossbow. 10 more damage. Pierce 2 on each attack.

Using Triumph to upgrade Defense +1 for Butler, using 3A to upgrade Darakar's Defense +1. Should last until the end of the next turn.

Using the last Advantage to give Aery a Boost on his next action.

Aery’s wound starts knitting together, as if by magic.

The dog whimpers as the burning sword hits it, you can smell burning fur.

Striking out, Darakar, your massive axe slices through two of the goblins as if through butter. Blood splatters you face, making your already fearsome appearance just a little bit worse.

Alaric fires off a load of bolts, hitting three of the goblins. They roll of the roof with shrieks, going silent as their necks break their fall.

The last remaining goblin on the roof, seems to panic and climbs down on the other side of the building. Yelling something in the goblin tongue.

The two goblins fighting Darakar have entered some kind of battle fury themselves, not noticing their losses around. They slash at the half-orc, but he’s fast for his size, easily dodging their blows.
OOC:
The minions uses one maneuver to aim.
They use 2 advantage to give Darakar a Black to his next check. They are still small and irritating. They use the last 2 to give the Goblin Dog a Blue if it lives long enough to use it ;)

Aery next

Admiring his own handy work Aery initially thinks the goblins were flinging feces they set on fire when he saw one land too close to a cart and start bouncing towards it. His eyes widen as he realizes the label on the barrels were for good dwarven spirits of a high proof... too late; as the cart blossoms skyward in an impressive pillar of fire the intensity of the backlash of fire and heat push Aery back as the cart underneath sends out shrapnel. His face feels hot and slightly sunburned as if he'd been traveling too long on the roads for several hours in the middle of summer. He shakes himself and pats himself over feeling wounds start to close. Looking around he sees the aftermath a wall of fire and the rooftop rioters mostly falling to the ground not purposely by their own decision.

Exhaling slowly his upper lip scrunches slightly as he starts to snatch up his staff as he looks around seeing targets through the fire his eyes narrow he stops. Mocing closer the fire line he moved back and forth along the line of fire looking for an opening and a target.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaariors.... Come out and plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!" he starts to sing out softly as first before his voice booms over the crackling of the fire in from of him as he fires out a bolt of lighting through the fire when it ebbs out an opening to the enemies remaining.
OOC:
Unsure if you'd want some setback due to the fire. I'm guessing their at Medium still although I moved to the Warchanter that might not be closer to the goblins left though.

If there's no more modifiers that -10 -9 Damage unsure if the dog or goblins would be the easier target.

Edit: Modded roll results are 3 success 2 Adv and a triumph so using the 2 adv to activate Disorient 2 and the triumph I'll upgrade the difficulty of the target's next check due to electrical shock.

Jimmy moves forward into medium range to stand near Alaric and Aery. He raises his quarterstaff toward one of the two goblins harassing Darakar. A blue ray of light flashes from the end of the staff toward the goblin.

8 damage to the Goblin. Using 2A to recover strain, back to full now. Using 2A to trigger Disorient 2 on the Goblin. Using the last advantage to give Butler a boost to his next attack.

If there's no more modifiers that -10 Damage unsure if the dog or goblins would be the easier target.

OOC:
Both targets are in melee with an ally which upgrades the check once to Red + Purple. Easily fixed this time as both purple rolled the same. Remove two threat and roll a red. I will add them to your post if it isn't done by tomorrow. Just don't have time to post any more today. Sorry.

No worries, added updates and modifications above.

Aery’s bolt flies through the air, frying the dog. It falls spasming to the ground, all four legs in the air.

Then Jimmy’s ray follows moments after, taking care of the rest of the goblins. For a moment you listen for the sound of more combat, but it seems the remaining goblins are fleeing.

The nobleman comes back out from behind the barrel he used as cover. He opens his mouth to thank you, but noticing the fire has spread to one of the buildings. He’s standing speechless looking at it. Those present at the welcoming speeches can remember that the cathedral had just been rebuilt after a fire, so another town fire so soon could be devastating to town morale.
OOC:
And the combat is over. One of the houses has caught fire. If you want to help stop the fire somehow, roll a skill check,
and I will edit the post to add difficulty after the fact.

A quick assessment of the situation had Darakar's mind racing, before an idea came to mind.

"Emargtr short one, do you have any ice, storm, or water magic?"
OOC:
Darakar's idea is to throw Aery up onto the roof-top so as to cast water/ice/rain spells to put out the fires while everyone else is getting buckets, etc.
