Alaric, you'll be next but I'll probably have to heal before I can get you. Please tell me your preference. Fire (Burn 1), Ice (Ensnared 1), Lightning (Disorient 2)

OOC:
BURN BABY, BURN!!!

Ahem...fire works for me
Jun 8, 2017 11:47 pm
OOC:
I prefer fire as well.
Jun 8, 2017 11:53 pm
OOC:
Fires probably best for these dudes so I'll take that too please :)

Enchanting Butler's longsword with Fire 1. Cost Strain 3: Enchant one item with elemental powers at engaged range for rounds equal to one plus successes. Fire: Burn 1, Ice: Ensnared 1, Lightning: Disorient 2. Average Magic check, 2P

Rolls

6 Success, 2 Failure, 2 Threat

Total: 4 Success, 2 Threat

Butler's sword alights in fire once more.
OOC:
It takes more out of you than usually, so you gain a Setback on your next action Jimmy.

The Skeltons are spread around you at short distance. Each one is a rival, and has 1 Melee defense.

I have chosen to let Father Zanthus act on the PC side in initative. Though I will probably post his action at the same time of the Skeletons. So 2 other characters may act.

The flames from Jimmy's spell start flickering up the length of Butlers sword as he sweeps it through the first of the skeletons whilst planting his shield, ready for any attacks.
OOC:
Melee attack against the Skellys as my action, using my maneuver to activate Shield Wall (upgrades any attacks made against me once for one round)

So that's 8 base damage from the sword plus it'll take another 6 next round from the flames

Aery looks around eyeing their undead opponents and starts stomping his foot.

"Let the bodies hit the floor. Let the bodies hit the floor." he whispers as he turns looking at the undead.

"Let the bodies hit the-" he begins louder so the others hear.

"FLOOOOR!" he half wails half roars with a voice to loud for a body so small as his head rolls back as he yells out wind swarming around him.

Using Inspiring Song -2 Strain

He wipes saliva from his mouth his eyes wild as he looks around at the skeletons.
OOC:
Well poop. Next PC gets a boost die.

Alaric holds his position at Butler's side, eyes narrowed as he waits for the oncoming attack.

Butler, as your sword chips into its shoulder, you can see the skeleton catch fire in what little clothes it's wearing.

Aery, you think you can hear Father Zanthus sigh behind you at your song, then muttering something about music today not being what it used to be.

Father Zanthus prays to Desna, praying for his goddess to bless Alaric with her protection.
OOC:
Father Zanthus uses Divine Intervention. If successful, Alaric can increase his Agility by 1 for the remainder of the encounter. With his advantages he will give Alaric a Boost die as well on his next action.

The skeletons closes in and claws at you. The first one slashes back at Butler. One closes in at Darakar. Another at Aery. Two are drawn in by Butler’s burning sword and attacks him. And the last attacks father Zanthus.

Almost all the skeltons hits their intended targets, even knocking the priest right out of the fight. Butler is able to twist out of the way at the right time, causing one of the skeletons to slash at its ally.
OOC:
Skeleton 1 vs Butler: 7 damage
Skeleton 2 vs Darakar: 10 damage. 2 threat to give Darkar a Boost on his next action.
Skeleton 3 vs Arery: 1 threat causes 1 strain which is turned to 1 wound.
Skeleton 4 vs Butler: 6 damage. 1 threat causes 1 strain which is turned to 1 wound.
Skeleton 5 vs Father Zanthus. A whopping 12 damage.
Skeleton 6 vs Butler: 9 damage. To the wrong target.

Butler twists his shield to take the brunt of the first blow, feeling the jolt shudder down his arm but otherwise shaking off the effects, the second blow harmlessly glances off his armour.
OOC:
So Butler just gets hit the twice then? His soak is 6 so the second blow does nothing and he's using Human Shield to turn the point of damage from the first blow into a point of strain
Jun 12, 2017 5:52 pm
"Old man's down!" Aery announces to the rest as he plays 'No don't touch me like that!' with a skeleton.
OOC:
There's also the one on Jimmy I think that attacked you by mistake... heh.

OOC:
Leaving the boost from Aery for Darakar since he should be going before me.
Well, I was standing to Butler's left, so these guys should be in melee range for me. I'm going to attack the nearest skeleton with the twin rapiers; Túrin first.

Túrin: 9 damage, 2 Pierce.

Using 1 Advantage to attack with Nienor and using 4 advantage to give 2 setbacks; 1 each to 2 of the skeletons attacking Butler.

Nienor: 9 damage, 2 Pierce.

Abelsbrother sent a note to SelectiveAmnesia
Using the Triumph to upgrade Butler's next attack, passing advantage to Aery to use in the next round.

Finally, if possible, I'll move into position to protect Father Zanthus from further attacks, standing over him to defend him if he's down. As long as I have a melee weapon equipped, I should have Defense 2, due to 2 ranks in Defensive Training.

"Now THIS is a fight!" Darakar bellows with a laugh as the skeleton's claws bites through the thinner leather covering his arms, leaving a trail of three gashes along his left arm.

Continuing to laugh in joy, reveling in the rush of adrenaline, Darakar swung for the skeleton attacking him.
OOC:
Soak 8 means that he's taken 2 damage to his WT of 18. Success 4 means that he's dealing 11 points of damage and I'll be spending the Advantage to grant Boost to the next PC to act.

Get some Darakar! Smashing things in the face since... Well, since you were created...

OOC:
Alaric, you seem to have done two weapon fighting wrong. Force & Destiny page 217 states: "To make the attack, the player performs a combined check. First, the player designates one weapon as the primary weapon. When making the combined check, the character attacks with this weapon. [...] He then compares the difficulty of the two combat checks he would make with each of his two weapons to hit his target, and selects the check with the higher difficulty. He then increases the difficulty by one if the two skill checks in the combined check were the same, and by two if they were different. If he succeeds he hits with his primary weapon as normal. He may also spend 2 x Advantage or 1 x Triumph to hit with the secondary weapon as well. If both weapons hit, he may spend additional advantage to triumph to activate qualities from either weapon. Each hit deals its base damage 01 damage per uncanceled success"

This means it costs 2 advantage to hit with your secondary attack, and it hits automagically, negating the need to roll a second attack.

OOC:
I apologize. I thought the rolls had to be separate. That's what I get for reading forums when I don't understand something instead of just asking.

Corrected above (I think). Thank you.

With a couple of well placed strikes, Alaric is able to strike between the bones, and the skeleton he attacked looks ready to fall apart by a particularly strong puff of wind.
OOC:
You forgot to up your difficulty by 1 and add the skeleton's melee defense. So you can only add one setback and your damage will decrease by 1.
Bone fragments chips in all directions as Darkar lets loose, though the skeleton is able to withstand the punishment.

Angling his shield against the remaining attackers Butler lashes his sword out at another, the flames from Jimmys spell still dancing along it.

As he swings his sword the skeleton parrys his first couple of strikes before Butler feints to the left and then swiftly brigs his sword round in a viscous arc sending a few of the undead fiends ribs flying.
OOC:
same again, melee attack against the Skellys as my action (different one to last time) adding boost die from Darakar's attack and Jimmys spell is still up for another 3 rounds, using my maneuver to activate Shield Wall (upgrades any attacks made against me once for one round)

One I hit last round takes 6 fire damage that stops after this round, 8 damage to the one I just hit and it'll take 6 fire damage next round, next PC to go will get a boost from my advantage
