Aery shifts about as a Skeletal Opponent tries to remove the breath from his body giving him several feints of his quarterstaff to the shin knowing full well regardless of if one is living it really hurts.

"Beaten... why for... he sings, "Can't take much more" adds looking to the downed clergy.

"Here we go, here we go, here we go!" he yells out bouncing to an unheard tune.
OOC:
Cost was -2 Strain using advantage to heal one strain. It was a success so everyone gets 1 boost die to their next action.

Grinning a toothy grin, Darakar brings his ax around for another swing.

Finally, an opponent that can take a hit, A hit.

Using Restoration to heal Father Zanthus and (hopefully) using Magnitude to also affect Butler, Aery and myself.
OOC:
Is it true that I can use a Triumph as 3 Advantages? If so, I'll spend 3 strain to also affect myself, Butler, and Aery with Restoration, meaning that Father Zanthus and each of the other 3 will will heal 2 Wounds and recover 3 strain. If a Triumph cannot be used as 3 Advantages, then I am open to suggestions on how to use it.

OOC:
I'm waiting on the NPCs to go (and wishing them the worst of luck...) I guess Father Zanthus is still knocked out? With my luck he's going to come to, stand up, and knock me flat thinking that I attacked him, when I'm just trying to protect him *sigh*.

Butler strikes one of the skeltons hard in the chest, causing it to stumble a couple of steps backwards.

Then, as Aery’s song starts to inspire his companions, Darakar swings a mighty blow, splitting one of the skeletons into several small pieces.
OOC:
I’ll allow you to use it as 3 advantages.

Jimmy’s magic engulfs the priest, and his wounds starts to slowly knit together.

The first skeleton lets out a shriek like sound as it strikes at Butler once more, connecting with its clawed hand.

The next skeleton attacks Aery again, but the mage is able to hold it at bay, dodging all its attacks. But in the process blocking and distracting him from whatever he’s planning next.

The last burning skelton returns the favor and slashes back at Butler. His burning fist connecting hard.

The skeleton threatening father Zanthus attacks Alaric instead, hitting him in the thigh.

The skeleton Alaric attacked turns its attention from Butler to Alaric. It lurches towards him, and hits with a wide slash.

Father Zanthus wakes with a start, seeing the skeletons above him, tries to crawl to safety. He strikes out with his staff, trying to hit the skeleton that downed him in the process. Though his clumsy swing shows his ineptitude with the staff as a weapon.
OOC:
All the skeletons use their maneuver to aim.
Skelton 1 vs Butler: 7 damage. Their advantage will give the next ally a Boost die, but since I was so stupid to roll all the checks at once, I’ll rule that Skelton 3 can use it next round if it survives that long.

Skeleton 3 vs Aery: 5 advantage spent like this. 3 to give itself +1 Melee Defense. And 2 to Aery’s next skill check.

Skeleton 4 vs Butler: 10 damage. Two threat will add a Boost to Butler’s next action.

Skeleton 5 vs Alaric: Triumph also counts as a success, so that’s a critical hit. 6 damage + Hamstrung: Lose your free maneuver until the end of the encounter. It’s a two difficulty crit to cure. Two advantage spent on giving Alaric a setback on his next action.

Skeleton 6 vs Alaric: 9 damage. Two threats will give Alaric a boost on his next action.

Father Zanthus: Has 1 advantage that he’ll pass on as a Boost to the next PC.

What the- No NO! Bad Groupie! Bad GROUPIE! No Touchy! I have no idea where your hands have been and I don't swing that way. Says in a panicked voice the sound of a quarterstaff on bones not really doing anything except sound comical as he tries to not get Halflinghandled.
OOC:
Just RPing wigging out.
Jun 20, 2017 7:19 pm
Butler grunts as the first skeleton scratches him across the face but manages to turn his shield to catch the blow from the second, his arm going numb for a second from the force of the blow.
OOC:
Using human shield on the second attack to convert the 4 wounds to strain, currently sat at Strain 9 / 15, Wounds 1 / 16
Jun 20, 2017 10:14 pm
SA, please let me know if I get this wrong...

Abelsbrother sent a note to SelectiveAmnesia
The blow from Skeleton 5 glances off Alaric's armor (Soak 8) but unfortunately for Alaric, the skeleton's claws catch the back of his leg, hamstringing him.
OOC:
Ouch, that officially sucks.
The blow from Skeleton 6 barely gets through Alaric's defenses and scratches him. 9 damage -8 Soak, 1 Wound.

Ok, 1 setback from Skeleton 5 and 1 boost from Skeleton 6. +1 setback for their defense and +1 additional difficulty due to two weapon fighting...

Túrin: So, 9 damage, 2 Pierce to the new Skeleton attacking me. (Skeleton 6?)

Using 1 Advantage to attack with Nienor.

Nienor: 9 damage, 2 Pierce (Skeleton 5, I guess? The one I hit in the last round)

Using 1 Advantage to give a Boost to the next person to act on his turn. Also, using the Triumph to upgrade Jimmy's next action .
OOC:
Which I hope cures me of my limp.

Hmmm... Passing this boost on to Jimmy, strongly hinting that he cure me of my injury...

Eyeing the multiple skeletons remaining, Darakar considered who to strike at.

Alaric and Butler are both warriors, I shouldn't take their fights from them unless necessary. The chronic adopter seems to be in the most trouble.

Laughing at the top of his lungs in an attempt to draw the attention of the undead, burying the hate he felt for the abominations until the right moment, Darakar brought his ax down to strike at the skeleton threatening the priest.
OOC:
Currently at 2/18 Wounds, 0/14 Strain; and using Maneuver to approach the skeleton if necessary.

Total of 13 damage...holy s**t!

Missed Boost

OOC:
Did you two use your boost die from me?
Jun 21, 2017 10:51 am
I have now... Forgot about it. My bad. I should have purposely mis-spelled it as "Airy boost"

OOC:
father also gave one out abel to the next person to act just realized Darakar is the first acting this round after you. So he would have had to use the previous attack.

OOC:
As far as I know that boost from Aery was the only boost die that I got?
Jun 21, 2017 2:07 pm
Abelsbrother says:
*snip*

Using 1 Advantage to give a Boost to the next person to act on his turn. *Snip*
OOC:
Did you use that one? Mine will burn out after I go next if people don't use them I believe since it's one round for now so I wanted to make sure before I go.
Jun 21, 2017 6:55 pm
OOC:
Crap. Sorry. I thought I checked all your character sheets to make sure I had the Melee Defense correctly. Must have looked at the wrong character sheet.

Alaric cuts into one of the skeletons with one sword, and then rips into another with his other sword. The second one is cut right at the spine, and splits in two.

Mere moments later the skeleton engaged with Alaric and father Zanthus suffer a similar fate, as Darakar’s axe cleaves through the rib cage.
OOC:
Round 3:
PC: 3/4
PC: 2/2
PC: 2/1
PC: 2/1
NPC: 1/0
PC: 0/5
PC: 0/0

Three skeletons remaining, two of which is on fire and badly damaged. The one attacking Aery has taken the least amount of punishment so far.
Jun 21, 2017 7:02 pm
OOC:
Well that's because all the damage was emotional... it cuts to the bone...
Jun 21, 2017 7:45 pm
Deciding that the time for caution was over Butler shifts his stance to a more aggressive posture and focuses his attention on one of the remaining skeletons.
OOC:
Spending 2 maneuvers to aim, then attacking one of them

It takes 7 damage and using the advantages for a 29 crit, sword is still but]rning so it'll take another 6 damage next round if it's still up

Strain 11 / 15, Wounds 1 / 16

Aery, I'm waiting for you to go. I think it's the NPC's turn after you.

Jimmy, thanks for curing my injured hamstring.
OOC:
Free (to move) at last, free (to move) at last! By my count, Skeleton #6 took 9 damage last round. Hopefully, we can finish these guys off this round.
