You're in a cell. The cell is a single cell, 1 bedroll, 10' x 10'. The only light in the cell is the dim glow from the few torches in the small hallway outside the cells. The hallway is empty. All you hear is the sounds coming from the other 3 inmates in the cells. What are you doing?

What are the conditions of the cell? Dash is looking for something to file on the floor into a sharp point.possibly a bone.

Make sure when you ask questions, you hit the OOC button. The conditions are a dirt floor, smooth rock walls and steel bars 1/2" apart. Roll perception for me.

The man is about 5'5 and thin. He's wearing a black cloak with the hood up. He has black leather armor.

I know you do not know me, but you can call me Vex. I am with the Screeching Owlbears. My sole mission is to free as many prisoners as possible. We need to move quickly back to my base. I have some items in case we meet resistance. Out of a small bag, he pulls out 3 sets of leather armor, 2 daggers, 2 short swords, a short bow, a quiver of arrows, a quarterstaff, and a pair of hand axes. Gotta love bags of holding. Take your preference.

Atlas quickly grabs the quiver of arrows, the shortbow, one of the sets of leather armor and, one of the short swords.

Dash scoops up a short sword. Throws it from hand to hand, getting use to the weight.
"Might need one of these too". He kicks up a dagger into his and a gives it a few test spins.
"Anyone not have need for armor?"

Excellent. We have about 5 minutes to make to to the Great Hall while the guard is changing. If we get attacked, leave me and save yourselves. There will be a contact waiting outside the walls. He'll say "Owlbears aren't seen much around here" you'll respond "But if you listen, you can here them". Now, lets go. He begins walking towards the door at the end of the hall.

Vex opens the door into a 15' wide hallway. The hallway is 30' long and lit by torches. On the end opposite you is another doorway. You make your way down the hall and open the door into a large room. Directly to your left and right are stairs leading up and behind you. A little farther down on your left and right are matching doors. Directly across from you is a door as well. Vex points to the door on your left Through there, quickly. As you make your way across the room, a voice booms It seems we have some escaped prisoners. Vex, is that you? I didn't realize you were still in the rescuing game. The Owlbears must be desperate. At this time, a guard appears through each of the three doors. You turn and see the source of the voice at the top of the stairs. He is a human with bright red armor. Guards, escort our prisoners back to their cells please? I trust you will drop your weapons?

You heard our man. A look of determination flashes across Dex. Up the stairs.

Dex heads up the stairs and attempt to sweep th guards legs with his quarter staff trying to knock him prone or down the stairs.

Vex pulls out a metal stick and presses a button. Two streams of electricity burst from each end. He charges the guard directly in front of him (Guard 1).

Guard 1 swings his sword down against Vex.

Guard 2 rushes towards Dash and swings his sword at him

Guard 3 attacks Dexand swings his sword.

The Captain notches an arrow and lets it loose at Vex.

Dash swings his sword but swings high, missing the guard.
Atlas' arrow strikes Guard 2 in the face, straight through the eye, killing him.
Dex's quarterstaff strike's guard 3 on the foot and he laughs at Dex.
Gual's spell seems ineffective.

Dash sword slides into the back of Guard 1 as Atlas' arrow strikes him in the head. He falls to the ground in a lump.
Dex hits guard 3 solidly, causing him to stumble momentarily.
Gual's spell still seems ineffective.

Atlas's arrow strikes the captain in the shoulder, causing him to wince in pain.
Dash's sword cuts a deep gash into the guards chest, causing blood to begin streaming out of him.

Vex rushes up the stairs, but can't quite reach the guard, so he pulls out a dagger and flicks it at him.
Guard 3, bleeding profusely, strikes out at Dash.

As Vex strikes the Captain, the electricity from his staff crackles. The staff cuts clean through each arm of the captain and he falls down dead with a deafening scream.

Gual continues to hold the wound he received from the arrow blood still flowing out of him. His vision blurs and comes back. Gual begins to feel cold something he has never felt before.
