Feeling a twinge in his stomach as the scene plays out before him, Chanler forces himself between Iolgur and the goblin. "Now hold on! This isn't-" Chanler pauses for a moment and steals a glance back at the frail creature. "Maru's right, we should ask questions."

The elderly goblin crouches back, making itself as small as possible. It pleads in broken Common, "Please...no hurt...no kill...please..."

Iolgur points his crossbow at the cave's ceiling with a jerk as soon as Chanler moves in front of him. "Fine, we question him. Just don't stand in front of a loaded crossbow. Accidents happen, you know." He shows a nasty-looking scar on his cheek and removes the bolt from the groove. "Now, what do we need to know?"

Quavez recalls that the goblin lifespan is somewhat shorter than that of a human, most not reaching 60, and that they mature significantly younger (around 8).

Chanler turns back to the goblin, "Where would you keep prisoners? uh- people you've taken? Could you show us?" he says, unsure whether he's being understood or not.

The elderly goblin looks at Chanler and nods quietly. He points back the way you have come.

The goblin slowly nods and begins to get up. He pauses and asks, "You...not...hurt...babies? I come...you not hurt?"

"Yah indeed. We dont hurt babies. Full grown goblins sure, but no babies." Maru makes it more of a statement then a question, but again looks around the group for confirmation.
