Chapter 1: Nightstone

"I say we charge. No surprise anymore. At least we can overpower them if they are not prepared. "

Xalvador simply waits for the rest of the group to decide on their course of action, not offering an opinion one way or the other

Chanler pipes up, "Does the "king" speak common? I could try and reason, or at the very least distract so we have some semblance of surprise." directing the question towards Maru and the goblin.

"Kings speak common?" Maru asks the goblin as she readies her weapon.

Maru spits too and then says to Chanler "Yeah he knows common. And if he doesn't understand the words he will understand the weapons."

"Alright." Chanler says with a nod. "I'll walk in and try talking. You all stay back and out of sight. If things start to go rough I'll call out." He says, trying his best to focus and not show his unsurity. "Any objections?"

Iolgur crosses his hands and nods. "We can try that, yes. Give us more time to prepare."

"No objections....as they say, this is your party" Xalvador says with a slight smile

"Maybe one of us ought to go with you?" Qavez suggests, stepping forward to volunteer.

"Yeah, uh, that's probably best. Just follow my lead." He says, glancing around to the group. "Well, whenever you're all ready."

"Yes let us move now into position." Maru then turns to the goblin and says in goblin "If you betray me or my friends I will make you beg for death."

Xed follows behind Chanler, trying to hide behind him as he walks.

Iolgur takes some time to straighten his mohawk again, so he does not notice when Xed disappears. He looks around for a short time and then says: "Maru? Have you seen Xed? The halfling?"

"Oh umm no I dont see her about." Maru looks concerned..

Chanler begins to make his way through the tunnel until he reaches the fork. With a turn, he calls back "Xed, which way did you hear-" as he notices Maru and Iolgur likely thinking the same things he was. "Did you see-" he says, looking back over his shoulder to see if Xed had already ran in past him.
