OOC:
are we not going in order?
Apr 1, 2018 10:08 am
OOC:
Doesn't terribly matter for this round, as the bad guys don't get a turn. I can put things in the proper order within the group's actions.
Iolgur lifts his crossbow and released the bolt, which slams into the back of the head of the goblin on the left, pinning her to the wall of the cavern where she dangles limply.

Xed’s dance certainly gets the attention of the goblin lounging on the throne. He squawks in surprise and leaps up, only to get tangled in his ill-fitting finery.

Qavez’ shot whistles past the other guard’s ears and down the passageway. Qavez ducks back into the tunnel, disappearing from view.

A bolt of purple energy bursts from Xalvador’s hand, but in his hurry he mis-aims and it bursts harmlessly against the wall beside the goblin’s head.

OOC:
Maru and Chanler still have actions.
Apr 2, 2018 1:04 pm
Maru runs forward and swings her sword at the first guard* she reaches.
*Edit she will swing at the goblin leader.

OOC:
Whoops- forgot that detail. Can I save my ki point?

As the others rush forward, Chanler begins to follow. After a few steps he reaches to draw Morak's sword, but hesitates as he feels the hilt in his grasp, and does nothing but watch as the ambush is sprung.

OOC:
Maru, the guards are on the other side of the cave; you can reach Hark or one of the giant rats this turn. With that crit, you can also roll your d6's again.

Maru will swing for the leader, updated post and added second roll for crit.

Maru charges forward and, raising her blade high, savagely cuts down at the goblin leader. He doesn't even have time to scream before he is bisected, his torso and legs falling on either side of the 'throne'.
OOC:
Back to the top of the order. One goblin and seven giant rats remain.

Iolgur
Xed
Qavez
Snigbat
Bodyguard
Xalvador
Maru
Chanler
Giant rats

Iolgur, Xed, and Qavez, in any order.
Apr 4, 2018 12:07 am
Qavez pokes out of the tunnel and sights down one of the rats, hoping to thin out the guards while the warriors hack and slash. He launches his arrow and tries to slip into shadow once again.
[ +- ] Qavez's Combat Stats

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+5)

(19) + 5 = 24

"Let's see what the King looks like!" cries Iolgur as he takes away his crossbow and charges with his longsword up in his arms.
Apr 4, 2018 9:21 am
Iolgur charges up to the throne beside Maru, only to discover that she has already dispatched the leader. His two halves lie on either side of the throne, still wrapped in stolen finery.
OOC:
The king is dead, long live the queen.
Xed dances closer to see the same.

Qavez' arrow neatly skewers one of the rats as he melts back into the dark tunnel.

Beside him, the goblin who led you here launches her javelin at another of the rats, which is pinned unmoving beside its friend.

The remaining bodyguard, seeing the terrible efficiency at dealing death, flees the room down the other tunnel.
OOC:
Xalvador, Maru, and Chandler, in any order. Five giant rats remain.

Iolgur
Xed
Qavez
Snigbat
Bodyguards

Xalvador
Maru
Chanler
Giant rats

Maru looks down at her grisly work and seems to cough slightly and shakes her head as if to clear away unwanted thoughts, and then turns her attention to the nearest uninjured rat.

Rolls

Greatsword of Durna - (1d20+5)

(1) + 5 = 6

damage - (2d6+3)

(54) + 3 = 12

OOC:
Is the guard who is running away the one I hexed or is that the dead one? If it’s the one that’s running can I still see them and if so are they within 120 feet of Xalvador?

OOC:
The one you hexed, and yes you can see them and they are in range.

Maru, off balance from her surprisingly grisly success, turns to swing at one of the rats. Unfortunately, Xed dances behind her at just that moment.
OOC:
Critical fumble table:

Apr 6, 2018 4:03 am

(10) = 10

Sword damage - (1d8)

(2) = 2
