I was thinking that the chainshot we reloading which took an entire round. If it is ready, then fire away!

At Llorenco's order the boom of the Tempest's guns fill the air, the Tentacle that had been harassing the vessel get's twisted and bound by the chains and starts thrashing about to free itself. The other tentacle comes crashing down onto the Southern Star lifting the mizzenmast clean from the ship as it does. Scanning the Southern Star Llorenco levels his pistol and fires, a notable scream is heard from up the the rigging and a sailor and long rifle tumble into the waves.

As Satterson cuts his palm to let his blood flow onto the artifact the Eisen, realising what he is planning, let's out a yell "NEIN!!!!" and lunges towards the object. Reflexively Satterson tries to grab at the artifact, both his and the Eisens hands grasp it at the same time as Sattersons vision goes dark.....

The rest of you glance accross and can see the Eisen and Satterson both clutching the artifact but otherwise being strangely immobile on the roiling deck.
OOC:
Seems appropriate to spend a Danger Point to get the enemy captain to intercept things like that. Satterson takes a point of regular damage. Everyone is up.

Can I spend one (or more) raises to swing in and knock the artifact away from the Eisen? Or snatch it up and bring it to the ship (stowing it away in Bastien's doctor's bag without touching the artifact)?

At the moment the artefact is held by both Satterson and the Eisen. You'll need to spend a raise for an action to get across to the Southern Star as Bastien is still on the Tempest and then 2 raises as another action to Improvise and kick it clear of both of them so for the moment it would just be the one raise for the movement

Bastien looks suspiciously at the artifact. It’s doing something... He grabs hold of a boarding rope, and swings himself over to the other ship, making his way toward the two immobile forms holding the artifact.
OOC:
I’m travelling, and not sure how much I can check in this week. Bastien will try to secure the artifact and/or help Satterson secure it, depending on what happens next. Feel free to prod him along in that direction.

As much fun as it was the first time, Llorenco leaps down to grab the tentacle once more for the chain shot cannon to hit once its reloaded. "Easy there squirmy, this will all be over in a moment, then we have a nice bed for you aboard that ship o'er there."

"The sea doesn't like the impatient and the GREEDY" Christian bellows back holding onto the artifact in one hand with his newly found weapon in his other hand coming down toward the Eisen's arm clutching the object as well.

So how many raises are you dropping on the Attack? Or are you aiming for something else other than straight damage?

Hey he started the stab the hand on the artifact game, I'm just playing along. I'm trying to get him to let go of the artifact I figure stabbing his hand or cutting off his fingers is the quickest way besides asking since I don't think that would work.

With a roar Llorenco dives forward, grabbing hold of the tentacle that was trying to throw the chains off so it could smash into the Tempest once again. As he grapples it the crew start to unload onto it with small arms fire and some of the smaller deck guns. Twitching and jerking about it flings Llorenco off as it attempts to slink back beneath the waves, although he tries to roll into it as he lands on the deck he strikes one of the ships masts as he lands, a worrying pop coming from his ribs.

Bastien takes advantage of the confusion to slip onto the Southern Star. Moving quickly he approaches Satterson and the Eisen, both of which are still grasping the artifact.

All NPC's are now out of Raises so it's up to you all to spend your remaining (reminder for the outstanding consequences below)

Put me in after Llorenco, I've hit two dramatic wounds so villain gains +2 dice
"As if yer scrawny arm could even lift my arm." Satterson hisses, knowing the slash earlier didn't seem to do much he changes his grip and moves to rake his sowrd through and up the man's arm. While still holding onto the artifact he pulls the man alongside him forward with him likely trying to keep hold of the device as well and flips his sword angle sending an elbow and his full weight into the Eisen against his forward momentum aiming for his mouth.

Lets see this SOD yammer with broken teeth and a busted nose... Satterson maliciously things to himself.

Mostly attempting to make an opportunity to grab the stone away from the Eisen. Don't know if that'd be 1 or 2, I'll spend my last or next to last one to not be knocked off... to bad the captain doesn't have to deal with that.

Llorenco slides to a halt on the Tempests deck. He groans as he stands, croaking, "What do you want, written instructions? Put out those fires and keep fighting!" He runs (hobbles) back to the helm, cursing audibly as he reloads his pistol.
OOC:
Spending two raises: put out fires, and don't get chucked around so much.

Landing awkwardly on the rolling deck, Bastien steadies himself on a the ship's side, grabbing a belay pin before rolling over to Satterson and Eisen. Raising the pin, he slams it down at the Eisen's iron grip, helping Satterson gain control over the artefact.
OOC:
Spending as many raises I need to help Satterson get the artifact, also holding one raise back to keep on the boat.

Llorenco - the crew run to follow your orders whilst you steady yourself on deck. In sort order they have most of the dangerous fires contained so as not to be a further risk to the vessel.

Bastien - studying the two figures, hands locked around the artifact, you can see a similar glow dancing about their eyes as is emitted from the artifact and neither of them react to your approach. Not wanting to risk being affected by the same energy you grab a belaying pin from the near railing and with careful study you bring the pin crashing down onto the Eisen's wrist at the exact point where the arm and hand meet. A slight flinch flickers across the Eisen's face but he doesn't relinquish his grip.

Satterson - As you rake your sword along the Eisens arm the blade does not seem to meet the same resistance you would expect from a normal sword but the effect seems to be the same as his hand confulses and the half of the artifact he is holding drops to the stony ground. He staggers back momentarilly but still seems to be locked in wherever this is.
OOC:
Ok, I've got Llorenco spending 1 raise to not get thrown overboard, 1 to direct the crew to deal with the consequence and 1 towards reloading their pistol.

Satterson is spending 1 to create an opportunity, 1 to use it, and 1 to not get thrown overboard.

Bastien is spending 1 to not get thrown overboard and 2 to smash the Eisens arm.

Assuming I've got that all right we're on a new round so approaches and whatever rolls you feel would be appropriate please peeps.

Puzzled by the still figures of Satterson and Eisen, and the lack of response, Bastien studies the strange artifact.
OOC:
Going to try to figure this out, so going for wits+scholarship+flair. I believe bastien's University degree gives him +1 to each dice.
