No movement or potential dangers, but Keavan spots a trail, somewhat obscured by brush growth, going into the ravine.

Breezy slides a bolt into his crossbow, backing up those in front from about 20 feet back. Likewise, he will keep his eyes peeled for anything moving.

Breezy, like others, do not see anything of interest in the wide open plain, except occasional prairie animals poking its head above the grass.
As the party moves closer to the ravine, they can see that the trail that Keavan spotted is filled with undergrowth and they see a wooden signpost obscured by the flora. They cannot read what it says without removing the obstructions.

The sign is a crudely made warning of sorts written in crimson dripping paint for extra creepiness. It reads in common,

Yohna's expression flattens and she sighs, shaking her head and returning the weapon to her hip. "I can't tell if this is a joke or if the good 'lord' of Lance Rock is trying too hard. Either way, best exercise caution, I suppose. Disfiguring plague sounds... Unfortunate."

The party wades through the undergrowth as they follow the trail into the ravine. Eventually the trail leads to a cave. Next to the mouth of the cave is posted another sign. This one is completely filled with many drawings of an eye in the same crimson color.
The cave mouth opens into complete darkness. The party can feel a breeze blowing, carrying a faint odor of death. From the moon light the party can make out that inside is a natural cave with uneven floor and ceiling that immediate turns left.

As the party approaches the cave, Breezy looks around for a moment, then stoops to pick up a rock. Reaching into his pouch, he brings out a bit of moss that has the faintest of luminescence. Holding the rock and moss within his fist, he whispers words of arcane power and the rock begins to shed a dim blue-white light, reaching out to about 20 feet from him.
Casting Time: 1 Action
Range/Area: Touch/20ft.
Components: V, M(a firefly or phosphorescent moss)
Duration: 1 Hour
Attack/Save: DEX 12
You touch one object that is no larger than 10 feet in any dimension. Until the spell ends, the object sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. The light can be colored as you like. Completely covering the object with something opaque blocks the light. The spell ends if you cast it again or dismiss it as an action.
If you target an object held or worn by a hostile creature, that creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw to avoid the spell.

The cave floor is damp and uneven. The breeze causes occasional hum that reminds one of low moaning.
The passage leading west narrows as it proceeds. Party can see a human corpse further down the passage. It is sprawled on its back and is wearing what looks to be farmer's clothes.

Yohna sticks close enough to Breezy to remain in the light, feeling an ominous sense of tension as the scent of corpses reaches her nostrils. She treads lightly with the party until she sees the body ahead, at which point she slams on the brakes and calls for a halt.
"Something doesn't feel right." She explains, then, with one last glance about the room, she looks forward and closes her eyes, opening them a moment later. For just a minute, they are entirely grey, with no visible iris, until she blinks again and they return to normal.

"As I thought." Yohna mutters, raising her arm and pointing two fingers upward. Her expression curls into a disgusted snarl, and she rapidly drops her arm, as if drawing a line, ending its arc pointing to the body. "Banish them!" She cries, calling holy fire down on it.

The party is startled as Yohna suddenly yells out to no one as a beam of radiant blue flame streaks down and engulfs the corpse lying in the dark.
There is a long croaking sound coming from the corpse - like a choking person struggling to scream. The corpse then suddenly rises up. Signs of weeks old decomposition clearly visible in its face. It begins to slowly walk towards the party with an awkwark jerky motion - its hands reaching out.
