No objections.
Keavan looks around again, stretches, wincing a little, then starts heading towards the southern tunnel.
"Okay, let's move."

OOC:
Everyone roll a perception check. I'll give advantage since Vardo scouted it out.

I see things, I see them with my eyes...
Or not. I also didn't add in the 2 for advantage. I know that would make ALL the difference, lol.
Midnight squints into the darkness. She sees... darkness.

LadyBrash, advantage in 5e means you can roll your perception check twice and take the higher number. :)

Yay! I rolled again. Maybe I saw a thing after all... more than the butt of the adventurer in front of me (which I'm sure is very lovely).

OOC:
Let's continue. I'll assume Breezy toss in his rock with the light spell cast on it into the cavern first. I'll use Breezy's passive perception for now. He can roll them after if he'd like.
The party proceeds down the southern passage. The claustrophobic narrow passage is further accentuated by the bloodstained walls. Hair stands on it ends as the party moves in closer to the cavern littered with various fissures. Before entering, Breezy passes his enchanted rock to Keavan to toss into the pitch dark cavern to light it up. As the party enters the chamber two completely dark figures that resemble exaggerated humanoid shadows emerge from a fissure on each side to meet the party. Only Falka and Vardo are able to spy the movement in time to react.
OOC:
Everyone roll initiative but this is a surprise round. Only Falka and Vardo will be able to act for this round.

Vardo, rapier in hand, immediately closes distance with the creature to his right (leftmost on the map). He lashes out with his blade while muttering the arcane words of the one magical ability he learned in his youth.
OOC:
Booming Blade attack on dark figure.

OOC:
Can you roll initiative first to determine whether you take action before the enemies? You can keep those rolls after if you wish.
Oct 3, 2018 1:18 am
OOC:
Yeah, my passice perception is fine, as is tossing the stone. I had planned it in order to try and remove any dark zones. Reminder, light is 20' normal light, followed by 20 feet dim light. Not sure how long we have been in here, but it lasts an hour.
Breezy sees his comrades move into the chamber and take up melee again. He prepares his crossbow, ready to release it at the first opportunity.
OOC:
Regardless of where I am in the pecking order, I will hold my action until I can move into the chamber and get a clear shot. And then, I will wait until someone needs help, electing to keep an eye out for movement in any of the three tunnels.
OOC:
Ugh! Nevermind, I'll just blindly bump my forehead into the wall... will the REAL Breezy please stand up? #StoopidDiceRolelrs

OOC:
Most of the chamber is lit up by the light. It's only been few minutes since you've been here, so don't need to worry about the lights yet.

Vardo's rapier pierces through with little resistance but surprisingly doesn't seem to leave much of a mark on the creature. The creature however is sheathed in arcane energy that seems ready to burst.
