Character Creation

Thanks for the invite. I'm juggling ideas of what to play (It's too early right now) but I was also thinking of doing a Samurai or an Arcane Archer. However, since we've already got a fighter, that might change.

According to ADL rules, may I pick any deity from Forgotten Realms for a cleric, not just the ones listed in the back of the Player's Handbook?

Sounds about right. Thought check the PG, if your in a town and that diety's shrine is there you'll get added beneifits (less cost on casting and what not)

Seeing as cleric is covered I think I will go with druid, focusing on control. I’ll work something up in the next day or two! Thanks for letting me join!

Your welcome...and if you want to run cleric its fine...run 6 clerics...thats the beauty of Adventurers league...this module you will have one group...next module you may be playing with a completely different set of people and the player levels will start to modulate as well...as long as they are within the same tier of play.

It can get real intense real quick XD But then the benefit of doing with some higher APL(average party lvl) is you'd get a bit more exp. but now they changed it so everyone gets everything at an equal pace.

That does sound interesting... I must admit I’m not very familiar with AL. I’ve played one AL game at a convention. I’ll have to read up on the details.

But in that case... I was thinking of starting Cleric then going right into Sorcerer - Divine Soul. Multiclassing is allowed in AL, right?

Pardon my ignorance, but is play by post compatible with live play? Can I take this character to my local game shop after this game and keep the experience etc? Can I bring in my life cleric who already has (a measley) 100xp to this game?

It would need to be converted to season 8 but as long as it’s an al character then absolutely

You can log you character here and it will convert your content to ACP. Which is most likely 1 or 2.

Yup as long as that stuff is logged. you can move it from table to table. :)

So, due to some confusion and flip-flopping regarding my equipment, I deleted the post containing my gold roll, sorry. I rolled 140, but I'll reroll if you want it noted.

You don’t roll for gold for AL. You just get the starting equipment for your background and class.

Oh, can you not choose to sell starting equipment though? Or do you have to take the base equipment?

I think you can sell at half cost.
